How to reply to this harsh attack on my friend's blog?
Hi all. I am an active listener in this forum, however I ask questions sometimes when really feel like I could use some help. I am not really very good with words. So my problem goes like this:-
One of my best friends is actively taking part in an organisation related to Education and Saving Earth. So she put up 2 posts on Facebook, because the organisation actively monitors who is working generously and actively to promote their deeds online. And to the best of my knowledge, my friend is working very generously. She put the following two posts:-
1. Pictures showing her planting new seeds in plant pots to promote greenery
2. Pictures indicating her teaching underpriveledged children and giving them literacy.
However, one of the keyboard warriors decided to attack with this comment:-
1. You could have showed your generosity of caring for the plants, by keeping the flower pots close to the body and get your fingers dirty, instead of just showing off by planting from away.
2. You could instead not pose with the children sitting down on the floor, while youre teaching them from above on a chair.
I know she is feeling attacked and she does not know how to reply to all this, as it is a negative impact on her points collected for the Event.

Keep it simple......Thanks for the positive comment, you are very helpful.
You go to far it will be an argument and that is what he's looking for, think simple, maybe some others will have some idea's , a few are pretty witty

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

^^^ pritty much. Just let it go.
You don't want it to become bigger. Any media is good media. So what I mean saying with that is if u drop it. It's over. If you start commenting back or acting out. More ppl will see it and start paying attention to negative posts/word whatever.

X2
Every college course I teach no matter the subject I always have one full lecture on social media interaction.
Basically tell her to let it go. When you pick a fight online you are never going to win. On the contrary, when you fight. You bring more attention to the negative comment which cements more in the passive observers mind.
Rescent case study. The US Army Leutinent that paused his pole vault attempt when he heard the US national anthem. People talked more about him not putting his hand on his chest than him pausing and showing respect to the flag.
More simple, don't feed the trolls.

"Don't feed the trolls" is a perfect way to handle this situation.
