I don't know how you guys listen to this stuff.
It just blends into a backgound noise for me like static.

I have to have pauses and bass and legible lyrics to set my adrenaline loose.

The last song was the only thing close to something I could lift too. Good pauses and bass just no lyrics.

I haven’t been able to get into much of the original black metal in a long time. I do really wish Emperor had have kept going after Prometheus though. Imo, they were the ones who really carried the genre where it needed to go. Every damned album was an evolution.

The only thing evil I used to like & it’s certainly not black, was the 80’s Misfits with Danzig & then early Danzig. Plus they looked the part.

I can pull an adrenaline rush from Adele and taylor swift at times. I literally get zero emotional changes from this stuff though.

99% of the true pioneering bands, were not actually worshipping the devil. It was thier way of saying 'fuck you're to Christian westernization of thier country.

Best way to piss them off? Write music against thier belief system.

I can see that causing serious issue. I dont tolerate one dumbass human being forcing their beliefs on another. To be a missionary is one thing, to try to indoctrinate should be met with death.

I hope someday when we die whatever God there is looks at everyone and says "You were all right but the hypocrites that scoffed at others and forced their beliefs onto them are gonna fry."

Emperor is the first black metal band I've heard of. They were good but they were changing. They wanted to end it before they felt like they sucked. They refused to go out like that. They didn't want to be one of "those" bands.

Yeah black metal is definitely not supposed to sound like Slayer or Metallica. Based on what you said if you were going to like black metal at all you just may like this. Their newer stuff is not so great but Creed of Iron is pretty well made.
