Coaching - should I care more then you care. really !

sorry guys this is just a rant forthcoming --

how come I'm supposed to care about your success more then you do !?
if your not going to take this shit serious and not send me progress pics in the same light every single week, and send me scale weight 2x per week, and update me on how things are going . . . then why the hell you expect 'magic' to suddenly happen.

you give me 100% effort and I'll give you 120% back.. you give me 80% effort I'll give you zero back, fuck off..
thats a brash point and to be honest I don't really mean it, its just a point. I care. I don't want your 80% effort. why hire a coach and only give a half ass effort to begin with..

I shouldn't care more about your success then you do. man up!! get shit done. I shouldn't have to beg you and harass you for update and progress pics, and diet updates, and foods you've been eating and training updates.
God Damn guys ! come on.. you hire a coach cause your ready to step it up and be accountable and optimize shit.
why don't you take advantage to that instead of pussing out at every corner and needing a coach just to say "hey, get back on track".. you don't need no one to tell you to get back on track .
come on. you need to care about your own success more then any coach you hire ever would.. hiring a coach is not for self motivation , its for optimizing the shit out of everything to begin with.. if your not self motivated, your never going to be optimized in shit to begin with.

Hey GH- I hear you..... but you need to realize that not everyone will give 100%. It’s just the nature of the business.
Also, you do have magic skills that you shouldn’t forget. You just need to make a voodoo doll and the person starts transforming! LOL

I never would have thought Charger was such a bad client. Come on Charger put some effort into it.

Have lived and am living this life as a teacher (and physical therapist) GH.

Ultimately quit being a PT because I can’t stand laziness & stupidity in adults. It’s like mf’r, do you want to recover from x,y or z or not?

Kids I can cut a lot more slack.

Although my first year teaching I volunteered as the strength & conditioning coach for our basketball program. That lasted exactly 1.5 years when I realized their “work ethic” was beyond repair. Granted we were a 20 win varsity team with players that went onto D-2 ball, but dammit, when you love and commit to a game you put your heart and soul, into it.

I know your pain GH, which is why I don’t do personal training like many of of P.T. classmates.

I just started a doing some personal training a few weeks ago and I can already see the lack of ambition in a couple of my clients.

I had a recent coach, 6 months - messaged me 13 times. Pretty sweet. FWIW he also is a 6x IFBB pro champ - what a joke. He can go fuck a grapefruit like Kai.

Previous coach was still the best coach despite some communication timing.

Not sure I'll do coaching again though unfortunately. Since I don't compete I don't feel I get the same treatment.

Yo gear I have a scenario question
If someone is pretty much bed ridden and lost alot of strength and mobility ,can't lift ,no protein shakes no walking outside of my apartment, no running, biking, has to watch creatine levels and my electrolytes

How would you start them off to gaining mobility and range of motion in the ankles and legs? No I can't use bands

Every time i stand up from my hips down feel like the bones are going to pop out of my skin along with Every thing in my arms

    I can't do anything strenuous.

would need more details on the condition and situation .. but off the top of my head, Recumbent bike is a beneficial tool in most situations like this

It's pretty much muscle wasting disease and the muscle breaks down turns to myoglobin and the kidneys can't filter it out so it gets releases into the blood and your muscles pretty much cramp up get stiff your kidneys start to get backed up so you get kidney failure

I had a coach I ended up letting off the hook for the rest of the paid period
I have a problem with binge eating, and every weekend I would put on 9-10 lbs. I was always honest and gave updates, but it was hard to do. It felt wrong telling him I couldn't follow through after how much time and effort he put into his end. So I can see how people would not give updates on a service they paid for. I never leave reps on the table or miss a gym day, I always get my protein, but cant put down the fucking donuts. It's not that I am not trying my best, it's just something that is outside of my control.
Long story short, I'm sure some people are not putting in the effort, but there are also a good amount that just cant bring themselves to tell you they let you down brother

I have the same problem with potato chips. I replaced them with cheddar jack cheese. Maybe try replacing donuts with a few strips of bacon or cheese or get a pack of grandma's cookies . It's 2 cookies super soft n very sweet. It's like $1.07

It's not specifically donuts. It's all food. I just have a compulsion to eat. I tend to eat until I pass out. Kind of like most people on Thanksgiving, but i do it multiple times per week, if not daily

    I am, you're right. However since I haven't competed I can still say I don't compete

I'm not making my weight I want this year anyway, maybe next year.

You are prepping for a competition so your going to compete.
RULE #1- you may shoot for a weight however be flexible. Your weight doesn’t really matter, how you look does. Damn, I was always shooting to be the lowest weight possible and then I found out that fuller is better.

I've never used a trainer but if I did, GH would be at the top of my list with maybe one other guy who's a pro/trainer and Nutritionist. Honestly though it would just seem odd to not meet in person and have every contact via internet, etc. Especially physical assessments. I know, I know, that's how it's done these days in most all cases but it still just seems odd to me.

I'm a very disciplined person when it comes to BB'ing and think that I do things correctly for the most part. That said, I know in the back of my mind the right coach could probably get me to another level. Intrigues the fvck out of me.....

Bro, getting a coach is actually super beneficial if u r disciplined and looking to take things to the next level
I never thought I would such a thing either but I did this past Sept and my oh my did my physique change 180 degrees... You think you know so much then suddenly you realize there is much more to learn and some small tiny things u were missing make the biggest impact! Plus it forces to keep track of things more religiously; like I never ever took progress pics, measurements and whatnot on weekly basis at the same fucking time every week... But here I am doing this and really appreciating the value it added.

Just my 2 cents from personal experience

GH, to your rant as I wanted to reply to this last night but fell asleep and just saw I was still on this page when I opened my browser lol

You cannot chase and force someone who does not have it in them to purse something they claim they want; if they want it that bad then they will do the fucking work and be chasing you, not the other way around.
The guy I'm working with told me the first day that he is not a baby sitter and will not chase me like I am his kid to do the work and send what he requested weekly; he said if u want it bad, then prove to yourself.

Some people say they want change and others desperately want it and will do whatever it takes to get the work done.

Btw, i would like to thank Charger as he was one of the fucking reasons to motivate my ass to go after my dream again of getting in great shape again and step up on the stage to compete. I saw how hard he was working with GH on 1 of the threads and then the progress pics and that really made think that I can do it too and I will. Thanks bro!
