Shingles
Now I got shingles lmao. It’s been a crazy year. At least I’m finally getting a PCP. The Medexpress dude was more interested in talking lifting than shingles go figure.

Seriously? FFS, TMO…what a year indeed! That’s a vaccine I’ll definitely end up getting. I had awful chicken pox as a kid, it was terrible.
Hope you’re doing ok bro, hang tough.

I was actually reading that shingles can cause appendicitis but haven’t seen reports on the other way around. Not sure if they’re related or I’m just going downhill in general.
All I can say is that all this shit came about after I quit weed. I know they say shingles can come from stress, so maybe the fact my body is in shock after 20 years of use this happened.
It started with a really bad back ache for two days and what I thought was a cluster of cystic acne, which ended up being the start of the blisters and rash. Then I saw the rash and blisters in 4 different spots and spreading on only the right side of my body. I knew then it had to be shingles, and they confirmed it.
Right now I just have some back pain and itching/burning. It’s not terrible but it hits people differently. It looks worse than it feels.

I had them about 3 months ago. Seems a very stressful day brought them out. Like you, it started with a really bad back ache. Got home and out of the shower and saw the rash. Sent a pic to a doc buddy and he confirmed it. Luckily I had all the meds needed on hand. I could make a small pharmacy proud. Anyway, they're no fun. Weird how it sensitizes the skin so much.
Hope it passes quickly. I'll be getting the shots for it soon!

"My friend"...occasionally gets a related outbreak.
No medical person has ever endorsed this but, in addition to the pills to start taking upon outbreak, hydrogen perox and salt water immersion helps a lot. No experience with Shingles but they're similar. I hope this helps.

I've never had shingles but I had impetigo when I was 21. Man it was nasty, I noticed a few red spots in my armpit, and then it doubled in size every day. It was scary seeing how quickly it spread. I remember finally going to the doctor and getting an antibiotic, and then I went to bed that night and woke up in the morning, I remember thinking to myself "I'm about to check my armpit and I hope it hasn't doubled in size again. That morning all the spots were smaller and paler. Antibiotic fixed it.
