    “Interesting” Video

I did some fast forwarding because I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t wait.

I’ve been in some South American jungles a few times and all I remember thinking was “lord, please don’t let any bot flies burrow in my head”.

I swam in this river that was full of parasites and they told us repeatedly not to pee in the river because they can swim up your urethra. WTF?

I’ll stick to the Rocky Mountains, thank you very much

It wasn't too bad until you know exactly what it is. Then it gets all 'here comes lunch'!

Well, I actually think I saw it right around you made the Khan/Startreck/ ear thing in K’s thread. Seriously, I might have just amputated my own thumb just thinking about it inside of me.

Regarding S&D’s idea of swimming in a South American rivers? Immediately I’m thinking of this so bad it’s good, teen movie called “Pirahna 3D”. Same goes for hunting mangoes in the jungle; you never get out of the boat. Bonus points for getting that reference.

Wasn't one of those Pirahna movies one of James Cameron's first movies? He's come a lonnnnngggg way.

Yeah, Killion's post kind of made me queasy too, lol! I just don't handle stuff like that well.

Oh no, you wouldn’t have survived my Anatomy class. My students always challenged me to put the grossest stuff onto the projector & screen. After class-business/lectures were completed, it was a riot.

Nooo, so much better. You got your prehistoric Pirahnas, lots of boobs, and it has a cast that includes . . . . Wait for it, Christopher Lloyd and “step-aside Butch” VING RHAMES! Hint, go in with a mind set that this is not serious cinema with a deep and complex story line and exceptional writing.

All caffeinated up, time for the gym.

A quick google search indicates that "Piranha II - The Spawning" was Cameron's first feature film. So I was off by a sequel

OK, get it, you dig quality cinema vs. schlock

Grossest or scariest movie that you actually were “tempted” to turn your head on? I’m trying to think, although in 1973 the Exorcist was really something. Ever see “The Re-Animator, it’s got a couple of gnarly scenes.

I HAVE seen "Re-Animator", actually. Odd and disgusting, but also sort of campy. There is another one from that team called "From Beyond" that ups the creepiness to 11.

Definitely has its disgusting moments for sure & agree, campy. I’ll search for “From Beyond”.

I’m still reminded of going to see Pulp Fiction when it first came out and we’re sitting next to a couple that brought their young kids. Needless to say, watching the parents reaction during the gimp scene was almost as interesting as the movie itself. Nothing screams wholesome family entertainment like a Tarantino flick.

To add on to this, pretty much any of the Troma films are pure garbage, IMO, and have no place in... well, anywhere, except the garbage bin.

Oh, I’m sure there is disgusting stuff made, just to be disgusting. My neighbor (before he moved) was one of the producers for the “Sharknado” movies. I took a look at some other movies he was involved in and it was WTF.

I was thinking more in the lines of if that the movie had some merit and was worth sitting through, but you had to endure certain scenes. Kinda like the shower scene from Psycho initially created a lot of concern when it was released (but is relatively tame by today’s standards).
