Glad to hear. Things are good here, living the Florida life for what that’s worth these days. Heath, not to bad, still need both shoulders replaced, but had both hips replaced already 😂. But I can’t complain my doing and I’ve learned to live with it. Bad thing is I’ve become a lazy bag of 💩. Working on that one 😜.

Who else is around? You guys still training?

Hey, buddy! Still running in the hamster wheel of life here. Lifting, but not as frequently as I want to.

Still training, still eating like garbage lol. I get that under control and I will be golden.

Florida living is odd ATM I must admit... housing costs up, homeowners insurance harder to get and more expensive when you can get it... things will reverse themselves if and or when retirees decide to spend their golden years (and money) elsewhere

Training is the most important, you can buckle down on the diet at anytime, but exercise will keep you healthy.

Ya man it’s as expensive down here and showing no signs of stopping. My wife pays her mom’s HO insurance and car. Fixed income folks are being pushed out along with poor and the young can’t afford to live on their own. Same thing happened in Long Island, crazy I moved here and it turned into where I live. What part you in?

Me too, would love to go to Long Island for summer. Traffic is horrible in Orlando, I’ll never go back, no joke I sat at a red light for 25 minutes to get back on I4. Took me 15 minutes just to see the light and then another 10 to get through it. Two cars at a time we’re getting through the light plus there was two gas stations on each side filtering into the intersection. I almost lost my Cool I just didn’t wanna upset my wife. She was the one that picked a shortcut.

Glad to hear. Modern orthopedic surgeries are amazing. BTW, I’ll need shoulders as well (hips done 15 years ago). The results and recovery these days is night and day from the past, shoulders are really improving.

Just had our long time agent over last week. They are dropping coverage out here like crazy, we consider ourselves lucky.
Even though - we are paying through the nose for homeowners, earthquakes & yes, with the weather changes, floods.

Yeah, man. Same craptacular schedule and long commute. Seems like it gets worse every day. The whole Greenville/Spartanburg area is a beehive of construction. I'm ready to retire, but the 401k isn't quite full enough yet.

The wife is hanging in there. She's better than I deserve probably, but I can't tell her that, lol. She might start slacking on me. She still doesn't drive and at 60 years old, I'm not seeing it happen.

We're both ready for more mastiffs, but I told her that wouldn't happen until she bites the bullet and has the hip and knee replacement done. For now, she has the 2 cats and the rescue beagle.

    How's Mrs. BG doing?

I had bad shoulder surgery 2 years ago so I’m nervous, but I have a really good surgeon and he’s a reverse replacement specialist so I’m happy, he is also going to use another shoulder muscle and attach it for my rotator, mine is totally gone, shriveled up in my shoulder. I ran out of time off so I’m trying to save up……gotta stop using my pto for dumb days off 😆

Your hips still good 15 years later?

she’s doing great I will tell her that you asked.

Why hasn’t she done the hip? I was in terrible shape and the second one only took me 2 weeks and I was walking a mile. 4 weeks back to work. Tell her I have it figured out…… I’ll give her all the tips 😂

Man, you look up "stubborn" in the dictionary and the only you'll see is her picture. Dragging her to the normal 6 months primary care Dr. appointments is like trying to pull teeth with a set of tweezers. I think she's slowly coming around to the idea.

I definitely hit you up for details of your hip replacement.

I had carpal tunnel surgery done on both of my hands at the same time and she asked me if they would replace her hip and do surgery at the same time. I told her the way to find out would be to make an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon and ask. She rolled her eyes and mumbled something about " I guess I do need to call them".

That’s interesting they did both hands at the same time………..leaves me wondering many things 😆

Tell her if she gets a good surgeon, that goes in from the side and use a robot to set the hip so your legs are the same length it’s a cake walk, a few days of some good pain but it goes away quickly and you feel so much better. My back pain went away, I even slept better. The robot is really cool. They take a scan of your legs before and you put it in the robot and it automatically knows how to set your hip so that it’s the same exact length, they screw it to your upper hip, it’s pretty crazy

Doing find despite some falls. Hoping for 20-25 years out of them.

Both my rotator cuffs are gone which makes movement odd at times. Going to wait till the pain is not tolerable.

Glad you have a good specialist; congrats.

I wouldn’t wait too long, at least get one done because you want to take a good amount of time off in between surgeries because they start adding up, recovery takes longer as you get older or they just take a toll. I had three surgeries in two years and I aged like 20.

LMAO....the guys at work had all kinds of questions. Mainly how do you wipe after you drop a deuce? I just told them I never have to go in wrist deep to get clean. I did wear gloves while taking care of emptying my guts; it helped hold the gauze in place. But yes sir, I did have both done at the same time. Dr. said 2 hands would heal as fast as one hand. They were both in pretty bad shape. I feel like I could've done back in 4 weeks, but both my employer and the Dr. said 6 weeks.

I'll relay the hip info to the wife here in a few. Thanks!!
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

The right one is almost 100% The left was the worst one in regards to the carpal tunnel issues, plus the nerves in the left arm aren't back up to par. On the other hand, I'm still working, so I'm not going to complain.

They've been working on it. It's been better recently, but there's still a few bugs. The editing toolbar and the "Like" button doesn't seem to work for most of us
