    Question Are those disclaimers pointless?

    like the ones I see people put....
    For example:

    Bimbamboom is a fictional character, anything Bimbamboom says is strictly for entertainment purposes. blah blah blah

    I was thinking about putting something like : Bimbamboom is extremely handsome, Bimbamboom is not to be held accountable for the many crushes ladies will have on him. etc...


    OK lets put my bad joke aside....is there any protection from posting a disclaimer like that in your signature?

    No,,ther wouldn't have to be a disclaimer for you so long as you posted a pic of yourself.. Girls would then just back away at their own free will....JK

    no no smarty. I said joke aside. Maybe I should have put a disclaimer for that. (damn me!)

    With the real ones, do they save your ass when it gets down to the nitty gritty, or are they pointless?
