The dude from The Green Mile
What do you think, 6'5" 350? Didn't they find Michael Clarke Duncan in Chicago or something and were like, "Damn! You are a big mother fucker - want to be in a movie?"

That movie was so sad.........
Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

He was a bodyguard fro celebrities. He always wanted to get into movies. It wasn't until the night he was supposed to guard Notrious BIG...that he got scared straight out of the protecting business. That hight he had switched people to guard and another guy was there the night it occured.

I wouldn't mind gettin' picked up somewhere to be in the movies or as a celebrity guard - I need to get back to the states. When I was livin' in Vegas I heard a guy got picked up at one of the casinos (he was security then) and hired almost instantly as a celebrity bodyguard (making booku bucks) - simply because they were impressed by his size/conditioning... word-of-mouth was it took only about a week after the chance meeting for him to fax his resume, quit his current job and get hired...

Yeah celebrity guards definetly get the high life. They get to travel everywhere. however, sometimes the work is stressful...especailly if you have a hot head client...they are always starting fights and expecting you to break them up or kick the shit out of the guys...I heard guards won't do certain people in the industry for this reason.

Warrior..I think he was in fact living in Chicago out of his car at the time before he got "Discovered"..I saw the episode of Oprah, why I was watching Oprah I can't tell you why, but he was on there and that's the story he told..And he is a big, big man..Just his voice is enough to make you piss your pants and run..It would taking a freakin Howizter to knock that guy over..
You should look into the Personal Protection field..Especially in the LA area..It is very big and is growing everyday..I have two friends from the Corps that are currently working out there and they love it..Only thing is the schedule is crazy from what they say..If you are interested PM me and I can see if they can point you in the right direction when you get back to the States..

For The Green Mile, they had him stand on a box or other raised platform. I'm not sure of his actual height, but I believe it's 6'2" or 6'3" and he is about 300lbs. The other actor standing to his left (ie not Tom Hanks) is actually a pretty tall guy too (I want to say 6'4" or so). They obviously wanted Michael Clark Duncan to be "larger than life" so they played upon his size (as far as mass is concerned) and elevated him (on a box) to get even more height. And yes, he is a thick mofo.

He was also in Armageddon ... he was funny in that movie, and when he gets up on the table and starts to dance... Damn he is big! Plus I remember him in The Whole Nine Yards & the new Planet of the Apes.

He also plays the voice of kingpin on the new spiderman animated series on MTV. I did a lot of work for that series.

The guy is a freak! AS Doc M said I don't why I saw orca that day, but he said he's usually about 300-315, but for the movie they told him to stop working out and stop doing cardio. So he cut out the cardio to get upto 350 for the movie. Now if he's as tall as the rock the rock is 6'4? I believe, and I think mcd is 6'5". Somewher around there. It doesn't matter, I would not fuck with him! He could throw you like a javellin!

Hey Warrior, DocM has some good advice there. You can find good work in Personal Protection both in LA and NYC. I'll be looking into a position when I move to LA next year. Gotta have something to do while in grad school, right?
