    Arrow Largest snake ever captured!

    15 meters & 450kg thats 49,2 feet & 992lbs! It's a python from indonesia.

    That is HUGE...I thought that anaconda's are the biggest snakes in the world?? Dont they grow to be bigger than that?

    Also, can you imagine walking in a jungle and that monster is in a tree...geez.

    that is false the largest snake ever capured measured 20 feet. There still is a reward of 1,000,000 dollors for any snake caught over 20feet.

    The snake looks more like an Anaconda to me, but it looks like the snake from the movie anaconda

    im an avid herp collector. but there is still is a 1,000,000 reward on the snake over i beleive 30feet.

    I was thinking of the name and they mentioned it in that article... My freind had a reticulated python and had to donate it to the bronx zoo because by the time it was 13 months old the thing was already 6 1/2 feet long... Not to mention if u have ever watched a snake eat most pythons and boas are very carful and look like they stalk their prey....... As soon as we would drop any live animal into this things tank BANG....... His snake would hit it and contrat at the blink of the eye... He would feed it three jumbo rats in a row and all three the same thing... He is big into snakes and he told me that reticulated python get to be the longest snakes although the anacondas may become much thicker..

    I use to have snakes, I mean large pythons. I had a baby retic and at 12 months old she was just over 10ft. They reticulated pythons are know of getting to 12ft at 1 year old. The largest snake alive in captivity is 27ft burmese python.. Weighs 400+lbs.. Its in the gueiss book of world records.. However, the largest record snake is a 33ft retic.. Anacondas are the fattest snakes and they do get big.. But the first snake on top is a fake..

    Just heard about it on the news........it's from Indonisa. It's the worlds largest captive snake. They feed the thing five dogs a month and it weighs something like a 1000 pounds. (I appologize to our european bros but I couldn't remember what the conversion was for stones.......is 14 or 16 pounds that equal a stone?)
