New York, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Portland, Cleveland, Denver, Salt Lake City, Philly are sure as hell colder than Vancouver, BC. For the most part, the city you live in is WAY more important than the country. Hicksville, Texas or Hicksville, Ontario is still worse than a large metro area in either country.

I can't really comment about Canada for I have never been there and I'm not educated on how y'all live(politics, jobs, med. care, etc.), but there are some good bros on the board from both countries.

Canada has 1/10th the population of the US, 1/10 the GNP, there's a reason for that.
The socialized heath care sucks.
If you make decent money, expect to be taxed in excess of 50%.
Canada is suffering from brain drain--their smartest people are moving to the US. More opportunities are available here.
Canadians, if anything seem to be more patriotic than Americans. Every commercial, from cars to cereal features the Maple Leaf. They have a bit of an identity problem.

apology
well i personly apologise to any canadian bros ive offended but you gotta undertand that when evil bastards kill thousands of innocent poeple in my country and we get **** from every corner of the world the last thing i want to hear is how another country is better than mine. but everyone is entitled to their opinion that is what a free country is all about. and i dont agree with a lot of what my president does but he is my president and he has my respect for doing his best to protect me and my family. now as far as his steroid and immigrant laws he can just kiss my _ _ _! so in conclusion i apologise and to validate this i will accept celine dion in my home for a period of 5 min. and then you have to take her back!

both
You know both parties here are at fault, some took it further than others but
this guy has apologised while others haven't so that says a lot for this bro. IMO both countries are great in their own ways.

Canadians WELCOME outsiders while American's shun them. Canada is a Cultural Mosaic that is often frowned upon by a vast number of Americans. You blame Legal Immigrants for taking your jobs and terrorism. You allow Guns to be carried on the open street, a right that I'll never fully understand. You destroy a country to bring your state of economic crisis back to a functional level on more then one occasion. Your motto is "It it's not American, it's not a friend of mine." Not to mention your Country is hated by the rest of the world.
I like the States though, not all of it is bad. The women are incredible, some of the Southern States are so laid back it's awesome and the weather can be amazing.
And to end things, I would rather have my health fully covered by my Country rather then worry about financially being able to afford to live.

yep
no i agree totally i think it should be closed. i was saying that i wasnt offended being called a fagbot. now someone did call me a racist which is total bs. that kinda sucked but hey dont dish it out if you cant take it. i apologised because i shouldnt have let this thread get to me knowing that is was going to cause trouble in the first place. it just seems like everybody has nothing but negative things to say about america and it gets a little old.

Yah, Canada would be cool . . . I know a bit of French, and there's got to be more opportunity to use it than here in Dallas with all these illegal immigrants. Plus, French is way cool to whisper in your bedpartner's ear . . . "Ah mon petite, vous ette tres beaux . . . oooooh . . . aaaahahhhahh . . . aaiieeeeeeee mon dieu! mon dieu! " Something like that, anyway . . .
More opportunity to go skiing/snowmobiling/skatin up there, less need to cut the grass (as the French say, "Mo de lawn"). More reason to spend more time snuggling under the covers with all the cold weather up there. Best of all . . . unlike what we have in Texas, no fire ants!

I agree, this thread should be vaporized...
The topic alone is enough to stir shďt up big time... had the shoe been on the other foot and it was someone taking a shot at the US, I guarantee whoever started the thread would have been flamed to a crisp (if not outright banned.)
In the end Canada may be cold, but we got good beer, and you're still stuck with Céline Dion... (oh the humanity of it all!)

Both countries have their pros and cons. If we could adapt all the good things from each country lets face it we still would have a better idea of how to run things. This is just human nature.
Lets drop this topic before we have people hating each other for no apparent reason.

Its a fifty - fifty, Canada had some good things and so does the USA, Canada has a way better health care system, but the USA is so much more advanced in everything, both have a ton of benifits, if you took all the good parts of both and put them together and had one big country you be made but until then.........................

yep
dropped bro. i understand that about the prime minister. thts not what gets me ya know if a countries leader supports us its the constant bashing we get for everything our leaders do. im at wrong for handling this the way i did and thats why i apologised. so this is dropped for me! and i hope things can be forgotten and we move on to the important issues on this board.
