IMHO, there's only two 'real' colognes. Aramis and English Leather. In a pinch Old Spice will do, but anything else is, well, I hate to put it this way, but it's just "too faggy" for me, lol . . . I like the masculine smelling stuff.
Had a friend give me a bottle of some expensive cologne one Xmas. Smelled like floral laundry detergent to me. It sat unused on top of my commode for years and years. Finally gave it to someone into that kind of stuff . . .

this is late for v-day, but i am big into colognes and i wanted to put in my comments...
i get a lot of compliments when i wear m7 from ysl, very sexy for men from victoria's secret, casran by chopard, desire by dunhill, jean paul gaultier for men...a good site to check out is basenotes.net...if you know a fragrance you have worn and gotten complimented on you can go there and see if lists the notes of the cologne and then hunt around for other fragrances that have slightly similar notes but are different...but by far, m7 really gets compliments for me

Polo sport (i agree chrisadams...it's a must-have)
Curve
The first 2 are my favs...but the second 2 probably get more day to day wear...

Well I'm not much for cologne, and I don't wear much at all. I have tried VERY FEW kinds, so I can't think too well of many dif. brands. I have used Old Spice though, and it's quite decent.

My absolute favorite is Crossmen, drives me wild! I have tried for so long to get it, and for some reason can't find it in the US.

I already voted for Burberry Touch, but my backup is Curve.
My favorite women's fragrance is Light Blue by D&G. I scored big when I got this for the wife a couple years ago - now its all she will wear. It does smell awesome.
