I don't mean to hijack, but since I have a few Toronto bros in one place . . . .

I have given some thought to moving there, but there is an issue with my wife being able to see her family more regularly. They live across lake Erie near Cleveland. Is it true that you can take a ferry across the lake and the trip is only an hour or so? Toronto intersts me as a place to work because it seems to be a cultural center with a solid creative community in the arts fields. I am an architect, so this is priority #1 on my list.
