Haha... Is it just me or did Berm reply 20 times in a row with the same thing? To answer your question.. I've never been on a date, and someone stopped talking to me because of the car i drove? There are girls like that, that need to be seen in a nice ride, for them to feel good about themselves.. I have never borrowed my buddys piece of sh!t car to see if a paticular person is materialistic, or have dressed up or down for a paticular scenerio to set things up.. Just be yourself, Usually you can tell by the first 5 minutes by talking to them, you don't need to set it up like that.. Oh well berm, cheer up bro, just find a chick into vintage hondas, that takes showers once a week and still listens to soundgarden on a regular basis.. hehe

Funny............I used to drive around in this beat-the-****-up Plymouth Duster for years. Started it with a screw drive, never changed the oil and left it unlocked no matter where I went (None would ever believe I had a $900 stero system in it). It had a slant six that just would not die............however I couldn't get one female to give me the time of day. A couple of years later i bought a Vette and then all of a sudden they come out of the woodwork. I made it a point not to even bother with those types. Of course not all women are like that (and for sure none are here on AR) but still it made me wonder.

My friend had an old civic that wouldnt die. We had so much fun in that car. Bright orange hatchback. We took that out more than we took out our nice cars. Just more fun to drive in the beater car. Going through flooded streets, jumps in the desert, side swiping friends in their other beater cars playing car tag. Good times.

All I see in those guys is complete self absorbed and it makes me ill. If a guy likes me for who I am, he would care less about what my car looks like. And it goes the same with Materialistic girls. All those people to me are fake and it's always "Look at me!". Who needs em!

Anyone ever see the movie, The Bronx Tale? You know the test the kid gives the chick - opens the car door for her and lets her in, then walks around and sees if she unlocks the door for him. That test actually works. I did that once w/o even thinking back in college!! Have used it ever since. It definitely sets a good impression (w/me anyway) about the chick.
