Either way, you still have to work hard to be a success. You have a choice. either study and get good grades and go to college. Or try to overcome your lack of an education. Which one sounds better to you?

good grades mean you can listen to your teacher and do what your told.
sorry but thats not my personallity, i dont like people telling me what to do unless they are a mentor, not a advisor. a advisor just tells you want to do, but doesnt take his one advise. a mentor is someone that helps you threw it and has already done it themselves.
you have to work hard to be successful, thats a fact, but id rather work hard to learn how money works rather then how to work for money and be someone elses slave, working everyday waiting for the time when i can ask them if i can retire, and hope my pension and social securtiy will be enough to hold me off till i die. sorry but i dont wanna rely on someone else to plan for my future, id rather plan it myself.
oh yeah and just cause you dont graduate doesnt mean you lack the knowledge, here's a list of people that left school or dropped out for ya:
Thomas Edison - founder of GE
Henry Ford - founder of Ford motor co
Bill Gates - founder of microsoft
Ted Turner - founder of CNN
Micheal Dell - founder of Dell computers
Steve Jobs - founder of Apple computers
Ralph Lauren - founder of Polo
sorry to burst your bubble but all of the above do not have a single college degree, in fact they all left college. do you not consider them successful?Last edited by jcstomper; 02-24-2004 at 11:05 AM.

I agree with what jcstomper has said to some degree. However, some things should be noted. Getting an education is like an hedge bet towards your future income. The odds of you becoming one of the men could be be guessed at about 1 in a million and become significantly worse if statistical tendencies are applied. Bottom line is education is a good thing. College is not like high school, nobody tell you what to do in college and you pay to be there. Don't think of school as somebody giving you orders, think of it as somebody guiding you along the path to graduation.

College can also be viewed as whether or not you have the aptitude of starting and finishing a tough challenge.

Hoss.....one step at a time.
1. Graduate H.S. with the best GPA you can.
Without that h.s. diploma - - - no military, no college, etc.
Does education make the man? No....it just helps him be a better, more educated man.
Not getting through high school closes doors! Getting the best education available to you will only HELP you achieve your goals. It won't HURT you to get educated. It WON'T HELP you to piss away your chances because you would rather sit here all day and rack up your post count.
I already told you what I would do if I were your mother. What it boils down to is....WE are not your parents. WE can only give you our advice. You have to be MAN enough to take it and do what is right for you.1. Once a cheat always a cheat!
2. YES, SHE can get pregnant the first time!
3. NO, PULLING out IS NOT a RELIABLE method of Birth Control. DAMMMMIT..... Wrap that shyte UP!!
Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.
For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.
What the mind can conceive....the body will achieve!

TTU...sometimes it really doesn't matter how hard you try, what you say or do... teenagers are gonna make their choices. What we as parents have to do is make them understand that there are consequences to actions. Mine was the same way. Would NOT stay at school. I would take her, drop her off and pick her up at the end of the day. Guess what....when I left in the AM, so did she. When I got there to pick her up she was in front of school. She would delete the truancy calls from the message machine before I got to them. Long LONG story...I filed a truancy petition against her with the court. She did some time in Juvi. She also got in some other trouble....including trying to put her hands on me. After I restained her and shoved her face into the wall....I called and had her arrested for domestic violence and malicious mischief. I tired everything before I got to that point. Ground her???what a laugh. She would go out her window as soon as I went to sleep. I nailed her window shut...she broke it. She ran away.
I am NOT a pushover. Sometimes....they have to learn the hard lessons.
Send your sister here...I'll kick her a$$ like I did mine.
Hoss.....I'll kick yours too.....I don't care how tough you think you are.1. Once a cheat always a cheat!
