Thread: My boy...

My boy...
My son took his first step on his own today. I never thought this would be a big deal...but he did it with nobody around but me.
I stood him up and let go of him and held out my arms...he reached for me and took a big step and stayed standing...it was a big enough step that he could then reach my hands...so I picked him up.
He is 9 months and 2 days old. We have been expecting this to happen any day now....but it happened today...with me.
The coolest thing about it...I was exactly 9 months and 2 days old when I took my first step. Really freaky...but incredibly cool!
Did I mention that I hate kids...but I like this one pretty darn well!

Will do! My laptop has all of the pics (desktop hard drive crashed). Laptop...is in the hospital...as soon as it gets home...I will post some pics of the boy....way more hair than his pops. 9 months old and has already had three hair cuts. I try to get them to save it...not for the same reasons his mom does...I want to transplant that stuff.

Momma first...but now all he says is dada.
In fact, yesterday I was walking away from him and he yelled "Da" at me. I turned around to make sure he meant to call me, and he was staring at me. When I stopped walking, and turned..he started laughing. So, he really meant to get my attention...this was the first real confirmed ...calling for me.

He must like you.

Very awesome! Now, you get to chase him around everywhere you go from here on out. You will soon discover why you see those crazy moms with a kid on a leash! LOL Good luck and enjoy!

Teach him to say "Cruisin for Chicks"
and take him to Dairy Queen......... positive reinforcement........
So in a group of people.. you say to him "What do we do when we go for a ride"
His response.. "Cruisin for Chicks"
always funny...........The answer to your every question

Thanks folks.
He had his 9 month check up today. He was in the 80th percentil in weight and height. The doc said that was not exactly right, because he is not a fat baby...he is solid. In fact, he said "solid as a rock...he is gonna be a big ole boy."
Hell no, I'm not a proud poppa.

lol, aw man, your son is adorable/hilarious! His mop is so cute, it looks like he's wearing a tiny toupee.
Congratulations on the first steps.. I remember my own very well. It was a proud moment for both my father and I.
