    My decision on US Fighter

    Without wasting too much more of my time on this whole rediculous drama and after discussing this with some others - this is what has been decided.

    I still cant really figure exactly out what all this crap is about because the facts I know seem to childish to be believed - but I got enough details to know USF was being stupid - but now I really dont care or want to know the rest.

    Since all this supposedly took place on someplace other than AR or an AR chat, it does make a difference - but it NEVER should have spilled onto AR

    Because we dont have everything updated as we would have liked, the full range of options were not available to the mod who banned USFighter. Normally in the case where a person has been a good member for awhile and is acting stupid a temporary ban of a few weeks to a month is imposed rather than a permanent one unless the action is repeated or continuous. That is what should have happened in this case.

    US Fighter's ban will expire in about 2 weeks and he can come back if he wishes - obviously I dont want to hear any crap from people either way or I will hand out vacations to others as well. But we do understand that people get heated and say dumb things or let things go further than they had thought through on occasion.

    I never want to see crap from someother place on AR again - nor do I want to see the disrespect for our mods who put a lot of time in here and deserve the respect we give them.

    I extend my grattitude to CYCLEON, Jason, DocM and any other mods who were willing to look into the situation even after all this drama was no doubt overflowing your inboxes. The fact that you Mods spent time reviewing the incident shows the true professionalism of this board.

    Well, CYC doesnt have to make excuses for my decisions. Temp bans have been in place since my promotion, as I have utilized that option before on another member.
    I am certainly glad that the Mods have been able to discuss and take care of this after the fact. I had always assumed, from statements in previous conversations, that a Mod's decision is final.

    Just in case anyone had any doubts or misunderstood what I was saying - Pheedno's decision to ban was justified IMO and in any case is final - but the policy is to have a temporary ban for first time issues - in this case its 1 month

    That's fair since that is the policy..I believe USfighter will comply with all of the rules from this point forward..If not, he knows the end result and has been treated quite fairly IMO..

    I hate to risk kissing ass on this one...but this has been handled in a very "stand up way." Classy move guys. I applaud it. I too was turned, when I found this chat was not an actual part of the board.
