Gear and Sperm Count

Im aware that gear diminishes your sperm count, but to what degree. I have heard of some guys knocking their wives or girlfriends (or both) up while on gear. Im just wondering how long your sperm takes to recover and the coorelation between test levels and sperm count. Anyone aware of any info as it relates to this?

My wife and I tried to get pregnant for about 18 months with no success. I finally saw a urologist who specializes in reproductive medicine and told him I've been taking steroids . He was really cool about it and we had some interesting conversations. Long story short he told me to stop and said we would get pregnant. He wanted to do another seaman analysis in six months and was 99% sure my count would be normal. We hadn’t even talked types or doses of steroids yet. Anyway six months later I took another test and before I could get my results I found out my wife was pregnant. F.Y.I. my test results came back high.

I believe it is roughly 3 months for sperm to mature....so I would say by 6 off a cycle you should be fine....though some take more...just an average.

The extent to which your sperm count will drop is different for each individual, but studies that I have read show that the average drop is fairly significant. Also, it's not just that your sperm count is lowered, but that the sperm will lose its motility as well. The levels rarely fall to zero though and you can usually still get someone pregnant while on, your chances are just much lower. As long as you do proper PCT you should be fine.

Yeah - 3 months to mature, but like you said, it can take many more to reach full (normal) values. In studies using testosterone enanthate (TE) as a male contraceptive, a dose of 100mg/wk was suffecient to get a null sperm count - any dose above beyond that had no further impact on sperm production. I believe rebound effects have been documented (it was either a study on endogenous testosterone rebounding - or sperm count... pretty sure it was sperm count ).

hmm... i wouldn't know how to count at this point... they usually end up swallowing before i had a chance to count em....
