The statement is probably true, I don't see the problem.

If they want to throw you into the abused category they can just ask you if your dad ever gave you a spanking. Now that your in the 'abused' category you are now in the 'abused or molested ' category.
Maybe the study showed that bodybuilders are simply more honest. Must be that self-confidence that bodybuilding gives you that lets you answer those silly questions more honestly.
But realistically my daddy was not a democrat, so I was never molested.

mmm clearly not the most balanced critique of steroid use hahaha
horribly patronising to suggest that we are all complexed feckups with this inverted bit of reasoning:
"25 percent who abused steroids reported memories of childhood physical or sexual abuse, compared with none who did not abuse steroids."
so basically if you are a 'weightlifter' and you take gear then you have been abused. period.
this kind of thinking is both amazing and disgusting! i have yet to see a balanced assessment from anyone medical or otherwise (not into gear themselves) who could give us a balanced assessment of what gear use is and the *real* motivations behind it.
its all too easy to describe gear use and the lifestyle surrounding it as being some sort of deviant culture populated by damaged people and misfits. i am sure as all you folks will be that there are a proportion of people in any scene or sport that have had terrible things happen in childhood.
this article is classic govt reverse psych. brought into being by the same d i c k s that would have us locked up for wanting to increase our muscular dimensions and better the quality of our bodies! makes you wonder where the *really* damaged people end up.

Any person can write an article claiming statistics in favor of what they want. It's probably by chance 25% of his subjects were molested or if they were molested at all. In fact, what is molested to this writer? The writer him/her self has a distorted view of steroid abuse . The writer should actually ask "what is considered steroid abuse" in the first place. How many subjects were interviewed and where did this person pull these subjects from? It really sounds like a bias and tainted study and article to me. How many people that dont take steroids were sexually molested and compare those statistics.

I have always wondered what is steriod abuse? The way the media seems to play it is that if you took 5mg of var ed for 2 wks would be abusing
