Should I lose weight before first cycle?
Hi, everyone! I'm 24 years old, 6'1" 275lbs+ @ 16 - 18%. 19.5" arms, 20" pumped. 39" waist (which is where I carry all of my fat.) 31" legs.
I've been training off and on since 16yo and training hard since I've been 22. I've done M1T before but no steroid cycles. I'm on M1T (20mg ED) now and my weight fluctuates from the bloat. I went from around 115kg to 126kg(as of this morning) in 2 weeks and my bodyfat went down some but it's hard to tell how much because of the bloat. My last M1T cycle I could only stay on for about 2 weeks because of the sides so this time I went with a lower dosage. I kept about 5kg of muscle from my last 2 week cycle. After I stop the M1T I should drop to around 16% bodyfat.
The thing is, I gain muscle very, VERY quickly. I also lose weight fairly quickly but it is hard to keep the weight off without losing muscle. I would like to lose fat and not muscle but when I drop my calories (usually just my carbs) my muscles tend to go away as well. I can keep my weight at 250lbs at 15% bf pretty easily but when I try to go lower I look skinny as hell (muscle dysmorphia?)
Here is the cycle that I planned:
Wk 1-12 Test E 500mg
Wk 1-12 Nolva 20mg ED
Wk 1-12 Proviron 50mg ED
I also have HCG and Nolva for PCT. I was going to throw in T3 and clen as well to help with the fat loss.
So my question is, should I try to get my bodyfat down before I start my first cycle? I want to lose at least 30lbs of fat while retaining most of my muscle. I don't want to run prop because I hate needles.Last edited by scriptfactory; 04-07-2005 at 04:44 AM.

I'd get down the BF% a little more, while fine tuning your diet, if your diet is'nt in order then you'll just gain the weight right back after cycle. Head to the diet section and read the cutting sticky, then post any questions and/or your diet for evauluation. Besides you'll probably want to take some time off once you quit the M1T.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I think I'll work on dropping my BF the next couple months. I should be able to get to 14% BF in a month easily.

I was a medic when I was in the Army and I have an EMT license. We used to stick each other for practice (I.V.'s). Just because I hate needles doesn't mean I won't stick myself.

If your waist is 39" then your bodyfat is much much more than 16-18% as you're claiming.

Get your BF down to where you see veins making ridges in your skin across your pecs and down your bicep, and cuts between the heads of your deltoids are obvious when relaxed. Your abs should be visible without flexing. Then, you are at about 10% and good to go for a bulking cycle. You are probably looking for about a 32" waist at your height, maybe 33". I would guess that your BF is in the high 20's.
