chances are good your cholesterol will get worse once you get on gear but perhaps with the medicine it will still get better.

Be careful with the Lipitor. Go read a few articles on Statin drugs. You will probably change your mind about trying it. I was on it for a couple of months & felt like shit. Ask him about Zetia. It does a good job & it is NOT a statin. I take Red Yeast Rice 1200 mg, garlic 1200 mg, & fish oil 6g a day & lowered mine from 252 to 171. I would try & see if you could do it naturally first, if not then get on the Zetia. Good luck.

Youre LDL is too high, but the HDL is ok, most recommend it should be > 40. Your ratio of total cholesterol to HDL is just a big high, should be less than 5, yours is about 5.5.
I would try to adjust your diet before getting on any meds. Eat more fiber, fruits, veggies, lots of oatmeal works wonders, EFA's. Other supps that might help are niacin, garlic, Policosinal. That the problem with America, over medication, doctors are always wanting to throw their patients on some sort of medicine
