crazy idea
OK guys, this might be a shock...........
A "what if"
What if you don't work-out, but only take steroids .
You would still grow, not as much as with a workout, but still.
Will you get a freaky body out of proportion?
(I like to work-out, it's just an idea )

Well, I absolutely do not condone this, but a few years back whan the medical community was still trying to prove test didn't work for muscle growth a study was performed in Europe. Now it's been a while since I saw this posted so good luck finding it, but the essence was that the researchers were "shocked" to see that the the group of men who took test in doses of 200 mg/wk and didn't work out actually gained more muscle(around 10 or 15%) than the group who took no test but worked out, obviously the group who took test and worked out fared far better than any of the other groups. So theoretically you could take AAS not work out and still have gains, but why?

thx Shortie.
I'll try to find that post.
I also wonder how much workout will add with the use of AAS. 20% extra gain? or less?
and who cares? I care

I might add here that it all depends on the condition of the people who do this. U will not get huge n ripped by steroids if u dont work out but the average non atheltic person WILL gain LBM... A persons given build (if he doesnt do sports) is basicly an accumulation of many factors (including hormones) and this balance is shifted with anabolics..

Mostly I don't care, but here is one of them, not the one I was quoting, but similar in make up
BACKGROUND: Athletes often take androgenic steroids in an attempt to increase their strength. The efficacy of these substances for this purpose is unsubstantiated, however. METHODS: We randomly assigned 43 normal men to one of four groups: placebo with no exercise; testosterone with no exercise; placebo plus exercise; and testosterone plus exercise. The men received injections of 600 mg of testosterone enanthate or placebo weekly for 10 weeks. The men in the exercise groups performed standardized weight-lifting exercises three times weekly. Before and after the treatment period, fat-free mass was determined by underwater weighing, muscle size was measured by magnetic resonance imaging, and the strength of the arms and legs was assessed by bench-press and squatting exercises, respectively. RESULTS: Among the men in the no-exercise groups, those given testosterone had greater increases than those given placebo in muscle size in their arms (mean [+/-SE] change in triceps area, 424 +/- 104 vs. -81 +/- 109 square millimeters; P < 0.05) and legs (change in quadriceps area, 607 +/- 123 vs. -131 +/- 111 square millimeters; P < 0.05) and greater increases in strength in the bench-press (9 +/- 4 vs. -1 +/- 1 kg, P < 0.05) and squatting exercises (16 +/- 4 vs. 3 +/- 1 kg, P < 0.05). The men assigned to testosterone and exercise had greater increases in fat-free mass (6.1 +/- 0.6 kg) and muscle size (triceps area, 501 +/- 104 square millimeters; quadriceps area, 1174 +/- 91 square millimeters) than those assigned to either no-exercise group, and greater increases in muscle strength (bench-press strength, 22 +/- 2 kg; squatting-exercise capacity, 38 +/- 4 kg) than either no-exercise group. Neither mood nor behavior was altered in any group. CONCLUSIONS: Supraphysiologic doses of testosterone, especially when combined with strength training, increase fat-free mass and muscle size and strength in normal men.

the thing that most people dont think of is that normal day to day activities do tax your muscles to an extent. if your running gear, then you would recover much faster, and therefore make gains. i really dont know why anyone would want to do this though

You are not going to turn into the Hulkster...IMO...changes will come & then you will reach an equilibrium...diet would be muy importante...
Better stick with the placebo...

It would make sense, you gain muscle during puberty without working out, just through the increase in test. Obvs you would gain a shitload more by training a eating lots!

More than likely you could expect more androgenic sides since the anabolic related effects would be wasted due to no need for the body to become the V8 engine AAS can help you achieve - muscle costs too much energy for the body to accept it without requiring a stimulis to grow. If you are hypogonadal (or a woman at that) - like those on HRT... then you can expect some muscle growth - especially in the upper body and shoulder area... general characteristics of a properly virilized male.
