    IS this true about saving your LIVER?

    from what a friend told me in his little gym today was that urinating(pissing) would decrease the toxic effects on the liver. Is this true? or can i add more to detail? he says that drinking alot of water and peeing does remove some excess toxins in the liver and kidneys...Is this method true on reducing liver risks? Has anybody ask about this here recently?

    This is a steroid board.. so i'm assuming your question is steroid related:

    No

    Ingesting an excess amount of water won't 'save your liver' from the damage.

    I think the water has to do more with your kidney function.

    Liver = no...
    Kidneys = yes...

    Steroids tend to elevate your creatinine values by 0.2-0.4 so drinking a lot of water whild doing steroids is strongly advised!

    He is actually correct in a sense.

    If you do not consume enough water for your kidneys to function properly i.e you let yourself become dehydrated, then your liver will take over some of the kidneys functions as well as it's own normal duties which will obviouslt exert added stress
