    aspirate question

    Hey

First time injecting myself my buddies always did it for me but I decided it was time to be a man, so I was wondering -- I aspirated but not sure if I pulled back long enough? if something went wrong how long would it be before I feel the ill effects? how long do you guys usually pull back for?

I guess if Im still writing this I should be fine.

    Please help

    Thanks

    Greek...

you pull back far enough to see air bubbles and/or no blood...you really dont pull back that far, you'll get into once you do it a few times

when you pull back you would get blood very quick in teh syringe. Next time just make sure you see the little air bubble.

You will see blood the second you even pull any little bit of pressure. If you are all the way in, and pull back an air bubble, you are FINE. If you are in a vein, and pull back the plunger, you can't miss the blood even if you are not looking for it.

    Thnx guys.

But what if you do draw blood, should I pull out and re-inject it with the blood in there? doesnt sound like a good idea what if I draw more blood but not notice cuz of the previous attempt?

Be sure to replace the used pin before another jab attempt...better safe than sorry.

definitely pull out and restick and its your blood so you have nothing to worry about. you will notice if you hit a vein again and get some blood in the syringe when aspirating so dont worry.
