Need serious help quick! FREAKING OUT!!
I am on my third cycle and feel like I may have got an infection from my first shot last Thursday. I did a 1 CC shot of Test E in my left glute on thursday. Yesterday I started to feel a little lump around the injection site and now today it is bigger, red and can feel the heat thru my shorts. I am using saches and filtered them into a bottle before use.
I accidently used a 1 inch pin instead of a 1.5 and I am afraid I did not go into the muscle. Did this cause a serious infection? Is it an abscess?
I have not used steroids in 8 months. Could it be my body isn't used to them and it's liek a virgin muscle all over again?
Should I got to the ER, I hear abscess could be real dangerous if not treated.
I know I asked a lot of questions but please help me guys, I always have pain after injecting but never symptoms like these.

go see the doc in the morning and tell him you shot some B12 to increase appetite. He will tell you if you have a problem. Better to be safe than sorry.

I am a D1 athlete and I am afraid that the doc may test me for steroids or may need surgery and they will find out I am using. Is there anyway to try and get medicine for an infection without showing him my ass?

Yes but it comes and goes throughout the day. I was going to tell the Doc I had a fever blah blah blah and hope he gives me medicine for an infection of some sort but if he doesn't I would than have to tell him about my ass.

I need to go to the doc for antibiotics but I am trying to avoid him finding out about my swollen ass since I am a D1 athlete I can't afford anyone finding out about my steroid use .

I would hit the ER. There not going to test you for steroids . People actually get abcesses that dont shoot if you can believe that.

An infection is nothing to play with and you have all the signs of one. Antibiotics may help if you start them soon enough but the longer you wait the worse it will get. Telling him you shot B-12 should do the trick. If your worried about someone finding out go to a different doctor but I have never heard of a doctor running an expensive test just to prove you are taking test.

Alright thanks guys. Real quick does anyone think it is because I used a 1 inch needle instead of 1.5? Or am I just wishing?

I was worried about the gear because I used saches this time and I have heard mixed reviews about them. So, I filtered them into a vial before using. I thought this would help. Should I thow the gear away?

Oh and btw, you dont have to tell him you shot anything. If its an abcess he will put you on antis and hopefully that should take care of it without cutting ya.

I don't think your Doc can "make you" have a steroid test if you go to him, athlete or not. It contravines your human rights.

jeagles1, infections can come from anything on the outside of the body, or on the inside. Symptoms can include fever, chills, night sweats, etc. You do not want it to get out of control and you can show him your ass without saying you injected anything -- tell him you scratched a zit, or you scratched an ingrown hair, they all have caused infections. They won't be able to look at it and tell visually that you injected there. And besides, go to a doctor not associated with your team, there is no way they should find out and the doctor can't reveal it even if he knew you were an athlete -- confidentiality/privacy legal issues. Just don't let it get out of control -- get some antibiotics sooner rather than later.

i agree with perfect beast...a doctor is there to help you ...if ppl were afraid to go to the doc due to possible prosecution..a doctor wouldnt have as many patients. Doctor patient confidantiality applies to this issue. Infact if he told anyone you could possibly press charges. Furthermore in order for a doctor to reveal his records..a court must issue a warrant.

I just went and checked it in the bathroom and now there is little ripples running through the middle of the red spot. Almost like celulite. What does this mean?

it is all confidential in doctor's office, you can admit to taking AS, it is their obligation to treat you, no matter what. they cannot share info with the outside world. i would tell my doctor everything as it may affect the diagnosis.

Hey guys just got back from the doc. I decided to wait and see her this morning instead of going ot the ER. So, I have an infection and the easiest way to tell was the cellulitous (spelling?). She did not feel an abscess so she put me on meds and told me to check back in a few days. She didn't even ask me how it happen I just said I play football and yesterday my ass hurt and was swollen and hot. She told me it was a topical skin infection and antibiotics should clear it up in no time. She checked it pretty good and was confident there wasn't any suspicious masses because the entire swollen area felt the same.
Since it was topical I may have just been real lazy with my injection this time and not been as clean as usual. this is a constant reminder to always take the time to do this shit right. This was scary as shit, I htought for sure I was going to head to the ER for surgery. Although who knows some time antibiotics don't always do the trick so maybe I shouldn't count my blessings yet.
Here is a question to all. What would you do with the gear?
Should I try another shot or just throw the shit away and cut my losses before things get worse?
I know next time if I have to go to the doc I would have to tell the truth about AS becuase I am sure she will be a bit suspicious of me next time. I knwo now that things are confidential and not even my parents can find out about what happens behind the closed doors.

Well guys here is a little update. I have been on the antibiotics for only a day and the heat, swelling and redness have already gone down a little. Also, I did a second shot in the other glute with a 1.5 inch needle after taking some advise by those on this board and baking the gear. It seems to have worked out much better this time. I still have some soreness and a little bump but nothing out of the norm. No redness, extreme swelling or heat around the injection.
I guess I just got lazy the first time. I am usually very good about being clean and all with my shots. This was a big wake-up call for me.
Anyway, thanks for all the advise guys I really appreciate it a lot. This is why this is the best site around!

glad to hear you're feeling better...also I've heard members say that you can get antibiotics at the local vet office if you say it's for your bird.

Hey guys just wanted to get on here real fast and give an update with the infection and the cause.
I went back to the doc the other day for a follow up and she says the infection has cleared with antibiotics so I will not need any surgery. Right before I was about to get up and leave she asked me how I "really got the infection". At first I was surprised and did not know what to say. She said she knows it was not from a football injury and told me I need to be more careful when using AS.
I told her the truth and everything I was taking and surprisngly she did not give me the "your going to kill yourself" story. Instead she gave me some pointers on PCT and injecting.
I found out my infection was actually caused by using the wrong size needle when I did the shot in my glute. Since I did not use a long enough needle the AS never made it to the muscle. The reaction my body had was to fight the AS by sending a bunch of white blood cells to the area, causing the small abscess and infection of the skin (cellulitous).

AnabolicAndre, I have. Since I am not the punter or 5th string DB I will never get tested for anything. Plus you only get tested before big time games (conference championship, national championship, etc.). This year we are not that good so I will not have to worry about testing.
