    Re-using needles for loading??

A buddy of mine says that he re-uses needles when he loads the syringe with the liquid from the vial. He does still use brand new sterile needles for injecting, however.

But i'm wondering... provided that you keep the needle in a sterile environment and wipe it down with alcohol before use, is re-using needles for loading the syringe every time a safe practice?

Needles are cheap, why risk any kind of infection

im not going to lie.. every now and then when i like runn outta big needles to pull i have saved a 19g pin and used it like 4-5 times while waiting for my order to come in and i turned out ok, BUT I AM NOT ADVISING ANYONE TO DO THIS!~ lol but i also know someone who reused the same syringe over and over for like 2 years LOL (he changed needles EVERY TIME THOUGH!!) i think he still has it .. probably framed on his wall

    I agree.

Is it the correct smart thing to do? No chance you will get an infection. slim

if must...and i do IF MUST!!!
afer loading the liquid, put the needle on spare syringe and power squeez it down wih alcohol. a couple of times, 5-6 cc, 1 cc at the time, and the last time you put the cap back on the needle and getthe alcohol in it as the cap is closed.
again THIS IS ONLY IF YOU MUST!!!! for whatever unexplainable reason it may be.. i cant think of any, but i worked on a cruise ship in my youth and only had limited needles, was recomended to this way by crew dr.
and every time before use practice power flushing for a couple of cc .. but do have to have designated syringe and needle... (for storing )

and then just use the needle to load... and put it back on the storing designated syrienge

AGAIN NOT THE SAFEST WAY, YET THE SAFEST OUT OF NOT SAFE PRACTICES....

Didn't think it was a good idea. My friend hasn't gotten sick so far, but if you do something foul long enough, it always ends up biting you sometime down the road. Thanks for the input.

when i preload, i reuse a 20g 1.5" needle to draw with. i only preload a couple of syringes. the tops of my vials are wiped with an alcohol pad before drawing. i've never had a problem. jus dont touch the actual needle with your hand and when your done drawing your gear put the plastic cap back on. i replace the 20g with a brand new 22g or 25g needle and place back in the original syringe wrapping.
