Injection site pain question

I did a shot on sunday 2 ml of 250 mg test e so 500 mg in my right glute.
it didnt hurt at all, but that night i could kind of feel some discomfort.
monday it was more painful, was walking with some discomfort but nothing major
tuesday was even worse, hurt to sit down and hurt to walk.
today its better but still some slight pain.
My glute is swollen, and today i noticed there was a red splotch right below the injection site. I have been massaging it, and sitting on a heat pad. Is this normal , or could it possibly be infected? I have doxycycline if needed. Can provide pics if necessary. Please let me know.

The dose that you injected is alot bro 500mg in one site.

Alot of variables could have caused such a issue to arise, you didnt use correct injection protocol, you moved the needle quite a bit during or after injection. Or it could in fact be an infection.

Is the site warm to the touch and do you currently have a fever?

I used proper injection protocol, possibilty of i moved the needle around. It is not warm to touch. It is not where i injected, it is slightly below.

What number cycle is this for you bro? And also curious as to why your injecting 500mg in one shot?

You need to keep your eye on this, I would start antibiotics if you have them right away. If it spreads or gets hard after 5-8 days, see a Doctor. Virgin muscle, 500mg. Back it down to two shots and make sure you are anal with being sterile on injection day, shower before, hands clean, new needles, etc,etc.

Why? Are you saying the 2ml is too much, or the 500mg. Never would have thought 2ml or 500 mg would be too much for one injection.

i actually took my 2ml (500mg) shot in my glute too (on monday) it didnt hurt 1 bit i think even less then my 250 shot lol ...

i wouldnt worry to much if its not hot and you dont have a fever. i get swelling/redness/and heat every time i shoot. i've even had a fever a couple times just leave it be and it usually goes away but you'll know when you need to worry i mean 10 days still swollen/red/hot then i'd be getting concerned but i've let mine go for about 7 days before and they always go away.....glute shots kill me they hurt like hell for about a week and swell and get red/hot and a big knot but i think its cuz i move around to much while trying to shoot
