    Post 1st Cycle Questions

I've been doing some research and I've heard the 1st cycle shows the most results, which steroid gives good results and is less potent with side-effects. I'm well aware of the risks involved but I have a few questions about starting this.

For one, I don't plan on taking them for more than 2-3 months. Is it possible to say for instance, here is a scenario:

First off, I'm 140 pounds and can barely get 130 up on bench. I have small arms and I can curl 35 - I've only been doing serious lifting for 2 months and been using a creatine called N.O. - Xplod. I like the results strength wise but I want to see it physically quick. Not for the ladies or whatever, but for my self.

I've read that people, on average, gain about 8 pounds for ever 100 pounds they have each month while on an anabolic steroid, like Deca -Durabolin .

Let's say I take the steroid for 2 months - improve my bench by 80-100 pounds and gain about 15 pounds in muscle mass. If I were to stop taking the steroid and continue working out seriously, assuming my diet is right and my cardio as well, how much of the gains from the steroid will I lose if I stop using them?

I figured I could use the anabolic steriod as a quick boost to start my work out and get me up off the ground, because my results from lifting naturally are not pleasing to me..

Also, I hear that injectable is safer on the liver and not as toxic. Is Deca-Durabolin a good steriod for first timers to use that has not as many side effects?

I'm also planning on using minimal dosage too. I am not going to abuse them - I know this for a fact.

If so - here are the questions:

-Is Deca-Durabolin a good steriod to start with?
    -What is the minimal dosage?
-Does the minimal dosage still give those great results?
-Can I take the steroid for a few months, quit the steroid and continue my strict diet - and cardio work outs and keep some of my gains?
    -Is injectable the safest?
-What are some realistic gains for someone that weighs 140 lbs., with virtually 2 % body fat, and benches roughly 130 pounds? [weight and strength gains]

I really appreciate those of you who post to this - and please try to help answer the questions. You guys would be an awesome help. If everything goes well - I'm going to give you monthly pictures of my gains. I can't wait!

    Please post back.

    18 and 6 foot

[Yes, I know what you'll say - I'm too young. =P Also, 140 and 6 foot is awkward looking hahaha.]

Should I take a pic before I start too so you all can see what I'm talking about and to see what I have to already to start with?

Wow bro, I know it isn't what you want to hear, but you are not in any way ready to cycle. Please post your diet in detail for review and we'll show you why you can't gain.

If you can't gain weight naturally, steroids don't help. Think of food as your bricks/mortar, and steroids as your workers. It doesn't matter how fast your workers can work (steroids), if you don't have sufficient materials (food) you can't build a house. Plain and simple.

Steroids aren't magic, and muscle doesn't come out of thin air. You need to eat to gain weight wether or not you use steroids .

You don't need an appetite to eat. Just eat. How many grams of protein/fats/carbs do you eat every day?

BTW, I went from 135 to 185 (keeping the same bodyfat) in 1 1/2 years natural, all that was involved was food + heavy lifting. So I know what its like to be small and what it takes to get big.

Ok - I'm glad someone is speaking up -

I can tell you what I've been doing for that past few months if that's what you want.

My friend who's been going to the gym for about two years recommended N.O. Xplod to start with. I started curling 25 with one scoop of No Xplod on an empty stomach before work out. after a month i got to 35 curling and the only reason i dont go higher is because thenext weight set we have here at home is 65 loll - i need to buy a gym pass. anyway. I started that and now on 3 scoops a day of no xplod blah blah.

i do my protein shakes and a mass builder called mass xxx after each workout - that alone has 1000+ calories - ive eaten nothing but carbs and proteins. breakfasts are eggs and yogurt - lunches are peanut butter sandwiches and along with the creatine i drink 120 oz + water a day - dinners are a lot of pastas and shit - idk if that is wat your looking for diet wise

i'm obviously new to the scene - but damn i want a boost to help me with confidence and to lift more.

You need to eat a lot more. Post your complete diet (times, foods, amounts, etc) in the diet forum for critique.

Even with steroids , eating like that your results are going to be minimal at best.

To give you an idea, I eat 7 meals per day (including postworkout shake). At least 4,000 calories per day. You probably need 3,000 every day to grow. Search google for "BMR calculator" and find out your resting BMR.

I think you're too wrapped up in the NoXplode... supplements are just what they're called - supplements to add to a good diet. If your diet sucks it doesn't matter what you take or how much of it.

Do you ONLY do curls?? To gain weight faster you need to concentrate on heavy compound movements such as - barbell bench press, military press, rows, deadlift, and squats. Movements that you can use the most weight on that use the most muscles are going to give you the greatest benefit for mass building.

Sounds like your workout plan kinda sucks as well.. post it up in the workout forum.

AandF - i see what you mean and don't get me wrong - i dont think taking steroids and sitting on my ass and not eating properly will help lollz - that's why im asking all these questions - what i should eat - when i should eat - what cardio - this and that - later i was gonna ask wat workout routine i should stick to - i mean i want to get it all together and not dive into it head strong and hurt myself ya know?

ok i see what you mean now - i'll write down what all i eat how many carbs and what not i take in [ihave a high metabolism and i eat a ton] and ill put like a weeks worth of my diet up for critiquing then.

Yep... get protein/fat/carb totals for every meal.

Don't do cardio if you have a super fast metabolism... you're just wasting valuable calories that you NEED to gain mass.

Ok - so basically you guys have made me quickly understand i should stick natural and probably best to stay that way.

The course of this conversation has changed.

Well - my first step will be writing down all that stuff - I'll keep a journal of it all along with what I'm lifting and when i'm lifting it so you can critique that and help me with my progresses as to whether or not i'm doing good or not.

I'm serious about lifting and it's all for my Self.

After I get this diet posted and my next pay check I'll get a three month subscription to my friends gym so I have a better place to work out and people to help critique me.

Do you think I should stick with this creatine? I have noticed my focus, energy, and some strength since I've used it.

What all should I take along with it? I do take my pre-workout protein shakes, but that's basically it besides all the water intake and the food.

Multi-vitamin is essential.... I like No-xplode but 3 scoops a day is really unnecessary in my opinion, you'd be better spending that extra money on food.

I'd stay away from GNC, you can get multi-vitamins at WalMart that are just as good and quite a bit cheaper. As for what foods, as I suggested earlier take some time to read in the diet forum, all of those questions have already been answered.

Alright - I don't want to lose readers by asking repetitive questions they've answered about 50 times. The diet forum is named "Diet Questions"?

For all you 130-150 pounders thinking about taking steroids ... re-evaluate your diets. If you can't gain weight naturally, steroids aren't going to do anything for you except shrink your balls.

    rofl

    im so embarrassed right now

keep at it bro. i was a skinny 6'0 160 and gt to 6'3 210 without aas. You just need time to devolop. Aas will stunt your growth (height and width and thickness)

The number one thing you need to do is eat as much as you can as often as you can. I just ate anyting and everything for about 4 years and gained 50 lbs of lean hard mass. If you are overeating you will get fat then step it down a notch but until you are there you need to stuff as much food down as you can.

also when i was 17 a girlfriend of mine benched more than me. it was 135. Yes i know it is embarrasing. 4 years later without aas i was benching over 275, squatting 400 and deadlifting 450.

Its all about the repititions. Just always hit the gym

Congrats on your gains! Yeah - I can see what you're saying. Well, once I get my paycheck, I'm getting that gym membership with my friend and some more creatine for starters.

After I post my diet for the next week on here and get it critiqued - I'll see what all food they tell me to cut or what to add and the extra cash will go to that.

This is a great analogy and this a great thread. This is why I love this forum, the kid is being honest and respectful and is getting great info and reasons and no one chimed in with a flame. This was positive as the kid realizes he is not ready, he needs to get his diet and training in check and more research about anabolics is needed and will probably listen. Constructive criticism goes a long way. If this was last year a thread like this would have gotten torn apart. Looks like the forum is turning around somewhat.
