Deca for ligament/tendon repair?
I just wanted to ask if what I read somewhere is in fact true: that Deca is good for helping repair tendons and ligaments that have been damaged or injured. Something about colagen uptake? Please correct me if I am wrong. I also read somewhere that Equipoise is also beneficial. Can anyone else suggest any other things? I had shoulder surgery 7 months ago and when I do start training hard again and using would like to know the best things to use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

most juice will help you "heal" faster. According to the profiles section Deca "stores water in joints" im not sure if that means it will just help lubricate joints or help them heal faster.
Merc will come in and school us all.

In my own experience Deca is good for lubrication but will not be a "magical healer" for you if you have significant injury issues.

i still havnt seen any backing support on that post and its been in circulation for ages.
eq makes my joints hurt
dont think deca really HEALS joints more than it just cushions them w/ synovial fliud/water retention
GH/IGF are only things i would know of that actually indcue celluar repair for connective tissues

God, don't you guys know how to read your steroid profiles on your own forums?!
Also, I’ve read many places that Deca stores water in connective tissue, thus alleviating joint pain. I have no idea what “storing water in the joints” means. I have no idea how to really quantify that statement, or where it started. However, in one study of postmenapusal women, Deca impoved collagen synthesis(1), and in another study deca increased bone mineral content. (2)Both of these studies used VERY low doses, which were far too low to promote muscle growth. In my estimation, based on these 2 studies, an athlete attempting to use Deca only for these two effects (increasing bone mineral content and collagen synthesis) should be using 100mgs of deca every week. That’s actually a higher dose than those two studies used successfully. Even at ½ of this dose, in HIV+ patients who have experienced significant wasting, a 100mg/E2W (every 2 weeks) injection of Deca resulted in a “significant increase in weight” (5). I’d never recommend that low of a dose for an athlete, but it’s evidence of Deca’s strong anabolic properties.

Thank you for your reply, so Deca does in fact aid in recovery from an injury. Thanks again.

The only thing I disagree on is the testosterone. Well sort of.
It is very dose dependant.
Guys on HRT at doses from 100mg-200mg EW tend to have better feeling joints and connective tissues.
When doses get over 250mg weekly, that is where the testosterone stops helping the joints and tendons as much as it does muscles, and can actually reduce the healing of joints and tendons.
So, for guys using more than 250mg Ew of test, it would then be a good idea to have something with it that helps them.
For guys cruzing at around 150-200mg EW of test, they would not get as much joint pain, and may even have stronger joints and tendons.
