Dutasteride vs Finasteride
i have been shedding for a while now and am on finasteride. after 10 weeks of use i stopped shedding, so i stopped the fina. 4 days later the shedding started again so i am back on.
i wanted to know why would someone take duta instead of fina?
ive heard duta has bad side effects.. what are they?
ive also read that duta is for type 1 and type 2. but type 2 is the main culprit for hairloss, so wouldnt duta be overkill if fina is type 2 only?Last edited by Taurus; 01-31-2008 at 08:25 PM.

Dutas is more efficient in blocking a greater percentage of the conversion of test into DHT. Is there a difference? Yes, albeit not significantly. Take one or the other in conjunction with a topical.

In terms of strength Dutasteride is more powerful than Finasteride but then again you will have greater chance of sides.
