Extreme pain with first test cycle
I'm new to this forum, and I found it while looking online for answers to my problem. I started my first cycle ever one week ago. I am only running test enth at 250mg twice a week. There was a similar thread to this one posted by BigEddy about intense pain in his ass, but it seemed to me that he didn't really know what he was doing and that was the explanation for his pain. I thoroughly researched how to inject and how much to inject before I started my cycle and came out with this:
Inject in the outer-middle portion of the thigh
Clean the top of the bottle with an alcohol swab
Clean the injection area with the same thing
Push the needle in at a 90 degree angle almost all the way into my muscle
Check for blood and then inject
So this is the procedure I have done both times I have shot so far (one in each leg) and I am having extremely bad pain in my entire leg from the injection site down to my knee for at least 4 days after the injection. There is no redness and my leg doesn't look any different at all, but I can feel that my muscle is tensed up. The leg that I used for the first injection has finally started to feel better, but only after about 4 1/2 days of ridiculous pain to the point that I could barley put my socks on.
I have tried to ice it, heat it, stretch it, and use icy hot, but nothing really works except giving a week to let it heal itself...and even then it doesn't feel quite right.
So I'm really hoping someone has had an experience like this and can help me out. I don't want to continue injecting if something is horribly wrong.
Edit: I talked a nurse today and she said she thinks the test is just setting in my leg and not distributing. Anyone heard of this?
Edit 2: I should also mention that the test seems to be legit and has a label on it that says "Infinity Labs" along with all the drug information and a Canadian flag. It doesn't expire for another year and appears to be from some sort of pharmacy. Also, at day 5, my leg has still not gotten any better and my skin is beginning to itch along with my muscle remaining extremely tense. I am considering taking some antibiotics just in case of infection. My girlfriend has a prescription to amoxicillin that I can use...would that be effective in getting rid of an infection in my leg?
Thanks for the help so far everyone.Last edited by Dangercat00; 02-04-2008 at 10:40 PM.

This could be your body adjusting to injections. Someone with more experience should be able to help.

stick to the upper outer glute and make sure the angle of the needle is such that it goes as deep in the muscle as possible, also slow and steady works for me

My first quad injections hurt like hell; similar scenario to yours
Your body will adjust. By the end of my first cycle it was a piece of cake with virtually no soreness. I found that my quads did better if I did some activity after shooting - like taking a 30 minute walk, or even going to the gym. Shots before bed led to much worse soreness
I only shoot quads and delts. Just find what you're comforable with and use good sterile technique. you may even find yourself looking forward to "shot day" in some twisted way - i did

Why are you doing this "almost all the way into the muscle" instead of all the way in?

Well from what I read, its best to leave about 10% of the needle outside the skin so you can pull it out in the event the needle breaks off.
Thanks for the help from everyone...from what it seems, I should try out different injection areas combined with just giving my body some time to get used to the test.
One other thing: is the fact that the test e is oil-based significant?

Most injectables are oil based. There are some out there that are mixed with EO, or purely EO. (and a very few water based).
I have had painful and painless oil based as well as painful and painless EO based injects. It just varies from person to person and from manufacturer to manufacturer. I have found that the more injections I do the less painful they become.

Who in God's name is so uncoordinated that they're breaking off the needle? Geez they need to change hobbies.

For some reason I have a lot of pain when I inject test. It does not matter if its on the delts, glutes, or quads. Any other compound I inject deca , tren , etc., I never feel any pain. I'm pretty sure its the test and our bodies reacting/feeling pain. I thought it was just me but I know other people who have some pain with test.

Thats what I am starting to think, but the label on the vial says "Infinity Labs" and has a Canadian flag on it along with all the information about the test...so it seems like it should have come from a pharmacy somewhere.
Do you think its possible I got an infection? Nothing is red or pink, but the muscle is really tense and kind of warm. I am getting some amoxicillin tomorrow to take just in case of infection.

There is no lab discussion on the open forum please edit your post.
Other then that, if its not red, hot, painful, swollen then its probably not infected. The pain will subside but quads are the most painful for me. Id switch to delts, lats, and glutes if I were you. You would be suprised how easy and painless lats are. Also, When you inejct oil into your muscles, the facia and muscle tissue is not used ot holding oil and being stretched with will agrivate it. It will subside.
