    vitb12 question

I have this friend who is a doctor and last night I had this argue with him about veterinary b12. He says that veterinary b12 is different from b12 sold for human administration and therefor should only be administerd for animals. His argument was that IM solution work different by animals. What do you guys think? I want to get some veterinary b12, because they are a lot cheaper. I know you don't get anything bad from them, because i know people who use them. But will the effect and quality be same as b12 sold for human use?

most vet grade b12 is fine for human use, human grade goes through a more thorough process but as far as strength of concentration vet grade is as good as human grade.

well he supplies me with stuff. So I asked him to get me some b12 and he said ok no problem. Then I said but i want vet b12 and he was like WTF?! lol so then all this arguieng stuff started. In the end I told him you know what? b12 = b12 ok? They are both dosed the same and both steriel so whats the big deal? Only reason it probably says for vet is because its in a multi dosed vial which has less chanse staying steriel. So i told him just get me some. But to be 100% sure i thought to check again and ask the veterans

This is the case with anything that is "Human Grade" it goes through a more thorough process.....there is a reason it costs more....more R&D..safer practice.....with that said I know many who use vet grade B12 and have no issues!
