How exactly do you apirate when injecting? And is it impossible to inject test with a insulin needle?

To aspirate pull back on the plunger when the needle is seated into the muscle. If you are not in a vein a tiny air bubble will appear that means you are clear to inject, if you pull back and there is blood you are in a vein and need to re inject. An insulin needle is too small and will not be deep enough in the muscle i use 25g 1inch for quads shoulders ect.. and 23g 1 1/2 inch for glutes

only until you see the tiny bubble the will be pressure so not that far. You will know if you are in a vein it is rather easy to draw up blood

Correct, if you see bubbles your good to go. When you let go of the plunger it should be like a vacuum pulling the plunger back in.

I live in NY as well and it was hit or miss with the pharms you may be better off ordering yours but u can get them without a scrupt i think only 10 at a time the law says. Some phamacists give you shit and say you need a script but u dont. As for the g its stands for gauge that the actual size of the needle i guess diameter as for 1 1/2 is the length

yeah i just looked online and under the esap law that came out in 2003 in new york you can buy hypodermic needles with out a script 10 at a time but it says something about filling out paper work. anybody know how long that process takes to get the paperwork filled out?

Does it take everyone around 7-10 mins to draw 2cc of oil out??

    I too use 25g x 1in

I'm assuming its because the gauge needle is so thin.

I too only usually go for my delt's, tri's, bi's, and just recently experimented in my pec's (which wasn't all too bad- I wouldn't do a 1.5 in pin in there though...only 1 in)

Even when I go in my quad, I still use the 25g x 1 in pin...do you think I'm hitting the muscle or just the subc tissue (don't even wanna hurt my brain trying to spell subcutaneous- sp?, LOL)
It's too hard for me to go in my glute and aspirate and not hit a vein...maybe because I'm lefty...hehe

    Peace all...

I just switched from 25ga to 23ga 1". I havent noticed a difference in pain but drawing up and injecting is a lot easier. Im gonna stick with 23ga.

it shouldn't, use a bigger guage to draw out the liquid and switch needles to shoot, or warm it up by putting the vial in warm water for a minute, not submerged, but halfway up or so

    I too use 25g x 1in

btw, don't highjack someone's thread with your own question, i answered because it was on the same subject, but i'm just telling you so you don't get in trouble later

i timed it one time, with a 23g needle, average about 20 seconds per ml.
