nothing helps me. i have trie ambien, xanax, valium, klonopin and tylenol pm.
took ambien last night at 10pm, went to sleep at 2am and woke up at 5:40.
ambien says don't take it if you don't have a full 8hours to devote to sleep. It still don't work.
maybe ambien just does,nt work on me like it is supposed to.

Tylenol pm works for me when i use it. Only problem is that it makes me more tired the next day sometimes. That's why i only use it when i go a few days with only 4-5 hours.

While, as you know, this is likely a side effect of drugs; insomnia itself is generally regarded as a DOTTH (Disorder of trying too hard). Falling asleep is not something you "do", its something you "allow". In short, if you can help it, dont try so hard, it just puts more pressure on you and makes it even harder.

zolpidem alprazolam diazepam and clonazepam are all addictive as hell and shoudlnt be recommended for sleep problems. Benzodiazepines, while you do fall asleep fast and sleep long, prevent you from getting the proper sleep you need. It prevents you from getting one of the stages of sleep that you need. I forget which one but take my word for it.

Also, note zolpidem (ambien) isnt a benzo and is fine for sleep, but still addictive.
