    6 inches of pain

Heres the deal, my last test-c quad injection, I got a horrible pain 6 inches below my injection point one day later, it has hurt for the last 3 days and my entire quad is red and itchey, this happened once before on my right quad but it never got red and itchy, just sore. Im usin 22g- 1.5 inch, this is my tenth shot so far, and the only time its happened. Also, I only go about 75% of the way in with the 1.5 inch. I use the useual method, alcohol swab the area, and the vial, use one needle to draw, and the smaller one to inject. Is this maybe nerve endings?

Nerve would explain why you are feeling pain that far from the injection area. Also i know most people use smaller gauge in the quads. About 25ga. Might look into it.

Why are you shooting the quad anyway? I have always done the glutes without problems more times than I can count. You definitely hit nerves. If it doesn't go away in a week or so you might see a doctor.

Because the quads are good muscles to hit...

Red and itchy is definitely a sign of injection. Does it feel hot at all?

    I think you mean infection.

I've had them get red and itchy before. Doesn't mean it's infected, the oil has enough BA and BB in it to kill anything that's in it. Your body just recognizes it as a foreign substance, and is fighting it. Massaging it and putting heat on it after injection helps for me. Icy hot on it too.

You can't have the ball of oil just sitting there or it will get like that. Gotta disperse it thru the muscle, especially if it's a big shot (over 2 cc)

Yea, doesn't sound like an infection because its not hot...itchy sounds like alergic reaction to the BA/BB

warm the substance before you inj, then massage and warm muscle after inj

I've hit quad nerves before..its just a momentary jolt for me....I would say its infected a little bit...or he moved the pin around while shooting.

a 1.5 inch needle is really big for the quad. I'd probably use 1-inch.

But I guess it depends how much mass you are carrying...

Oh.. side note... glutes are not difficult whatsoever. use a mirror people. lol. and do some freaking medicine ball side-crunches if you can't look over your own shoulder!
