Anavar and Cholesterol

current cycle:

anavar 30mg/ed for 10 week (currently week 8)
HGH 4iu/ed for 6 months (currently month 2)

received my blood work results and the cholesterol levels are way out of whack

i have read where some steroids can, in fact lower HDL cholesterol and raise LDL cholesterol.

but can the results be directly related to my current cycle?

test results:
HDL 6 mg/dl (normal is > or = 40 mg/dl)
LDL 199 mg/dl (normal is < 130 mg/dl)

Sure they 'can' be.

Is your primary physican aware of the cycle?

no, its a new doc for me. i originally went in because of some high blood pressure and head aches which have subsided.

bp is normal head aches are gone, but now i have the cholesterol issue.

so short answer is no he is not aware at this point.

Thats why we always reccomend getting bloodwork done before and after.


No way to be 100% certain that your elevated LDL is caused directly from AAS and HGH use since you didnt do blood beforehand.

But most likely it is.

You should be fine once your cycle is over, but just watch your trans fat intake (which you should be doing anyway), and get more bloodwork done after youre off everything. It should subside.

Also might wanna think about telling the doctor what youre doing, youll most likely have to sit through a lecture, but its still a good idea for a M.D. to be involved, or at least be aware.

the blood work before is key and well advised. true there is no way of knowing at this stage...

he (doc) has asked that the blood work be done again because he said that he has never seen the HDL as low as 6...20 is the lowest he has ever seen. that being said if the results do come back the same and its not a "lab error" which is what he is thinking...

ill inform him of the cycle.

i got my blood checked during a winstrol cycle and my cholesterol was at 317 which is very high.
