How come our body shutdown when we supplement?

I know the reason because of the negative-feedback loop.
But the question I want to ask is:

    - How does the body know that it has to much testostorone on board? Have the body (genetics) gone through higher levels of testostorone before? And then make a defense for it?

The HPTA is involved in the regulation for homeostatic control, it has lots of AR's for sensing the level of testosterone and other androgens circulating around the body, when to many become activated there is a decrease or even shut down in gnrh release, which mean that your balls have nothing to do because the lack of grnh release, also mean no LH or FSH release
