    Overeating on Cycle

My question is why do guys automatically think that since their on cylce they must consume 5,000 calories a day for mass building. Isn't fat on your body stored calories so as long as you have pounds of fat on your body why should you eat so many calories above maintence if your body needs extra calories it has fat stored for that use. Eating above maintence on cycle with 12% body fat only leads to more fat storage not muscle gain.

I'm on cycle and only eating 500 above maintenance. Not everybody thinks they have to eat massive quantities while on cycle. Eating that way will lead to both body fat and muscle gain. The cleaner the diet, the less the bodyfat storage will be IMO. But you're right to a degree - if you're eating 1500 above maintenance, bodyfat storage is imminent regardless of how clean IMO.

I am more concerned with my protein and essential fat intake along with my vitamin and mineral intake along with other supps. Taking in tons of cals may make you bigger but may also be harder to cut all that fatb later on. Look at pro's and you can see they heavily overload for the most part and then cut down, but I don't think the overall work/health problems associated with this type of dieting is worth the trouble.

Overeating is very real. You dont need to give your body nutrition that it will not use. I made that mistake for so many years. just give it what it needs. Listen to your body, if your hungry eat and if your not hungry then dont. But eat 5-6 meals a day.

Excellent post!! Yes, I agree 100%, too many guys overeat, on cycle and off. In the word of the great Mike Mentzer "there is no such thing as super nutrition, just adequate nutrition"

You cant really follow what the pros do..they are 300lbs and on a ton of gear. And for the most part they do not overeat. Its a big misconception that if you just eat everything in sight you wil get huge and strong its very wrong. I made that mistake and learned from it after i gained bf even off eating clean but overeating.
