    Mail order AAS bust

I have yet to venture into AAS but just read this article in my local paper. Are customs seizures and arrests a common occurance? Never see the topic discussed in the forums.

Well having it sent to a business is a bad idea, but 9/10 it will pass through customs or just get a seizure letter. Something doesnt seem right about the whole airport thing, like they sent it directly through a commercial airliner or something.

Yeah, guy shoulda definitley used a P.O. Box. Signing for a illegal package is almost enough for a conviction but once you open it they've definitley got you. Id say to anyone to always wait for a couple days before opening any packages. That way you still have the option to remain silent and later claim that you didn't order it and you planned on returning it

Never heard about anyone getting arrested for having aas mailed to them. Seizure letters are a dime a dozen.

Pretty small potatoes for cops to be messing with him. He must have made it really easy for them to charge him is all I can figure.

My opinion is dont do the crime if you aren't willing to do the time. Sure there are precautions you can take but ultimately..got to be prepared for anything.

There are UGL's in the states... Not sure why he'd make it so easy on the cops to bust him.

What i find f'd out about that is that it was a "month" long investigation to intercept a $500.00 package. Something seems funny about this whole story. There is more to this story then what was reported.

The arrest followed a month-long investigation by the prosecutor’s Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force, Franklin police, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
A task force, 3 law enforcement agencies, and a month's worth of time to bust a guy for buying $500 worth of gear? Wow, that's ridiculous.

LMFAO I have not even read the story but by this statement I would assume its some small as city or town with nothing else to do. In my area that would be nothing as millions of dollars worth of drugs are seized. WOW 500 bucks and cost the county or city 10's of thousands of dollars. Way to go Local LE

The funny thing is that 99.9% of the guys in here are just normal, tax paying, law law abiding citizens...teacher, cops, factory worker...avg guys who just wanna get big and wouldnt hurt a fly.

There bigger problems in the world then avg. people wanting to get big and feel good...its to bad that 90% of the U.S is so brain washed they would rather worry about john smith up the road taking dbol then worry about all the economic, social, and racial problems going on in the U.S right now.

This story is a crock of shit they have no case! By this story I could order some stuff to someones house or work and if the accept it they could be arrested and charged? I accept things all the time I dont know what they are thats not a crime. Any dip shit lawyer should be able to get this dismissed in a heart beat or there is much more to it.

It's kind of hard to believe with all the big crimes being commited and all the unsolved murders, rapes, kidnapping, car stealing, robbery ect.. that the cops did not have anything better to do for a month than bust a poor guy for getting something to make his appearance better. What about the real drug problem that is costing so many lives in Mexico because of the desire for coke and weed. What a waste of resources! Kind of pisses a person off that we have so many cops on the payroll that they have time for this petty bullsh*t. I might understand if he had 1000 vials of tren and 10000 pills, they could have least have charge with intend to distribute.

It is possible that this guy was shipping in an order for one of his buddies every couple weeks. And LE has been watching him for some time. As bunk as our legal system is I find it hard to imagine that it is that broken. We have better things to do. We have to run roger clemmens through the ringer for lying about aas use in baseball to congress.

I am with everyone else. I have only ever received letters. What may be left out is perhaps this person responded to the letter that is the point where it can get ugly. Good reputable companies will often ship again to an uncompromised address if you send a copy of the seizure letter. U.S needs to stop being so anal retentive and let them come in. Its all about them making a dollar!

Tackling real problems would require real work. Something many Americans are becoming allergic to.

The sad part is that there were 2 federal agencies involved. How embarassing, I wouldn't even want to be involved in a press release if I was one of those agents. Their counterparts down here are frequently seizing millions of dollars in illegal substances, these guys nail some dude with $500 in gear? What a JOKE. Reminds me of that line from The Departed

Franklin Twp isn't exactly a bustling town either LOL so this could be one reason he was busted. Maybe the customs agents allerted town officials whom wanted to make a bust that you don't hear about too often.

I wanna see what this guy looks like LOL..... jeez..... if I received a package and said "I didn't order it.... I was planning on returning it" - they'd look at me an roll their eyes.....

id have to say that this guy had probably been supplying people at his gym or watever the case may be. One of his clients probably got caught with the gear by sheer luck like an idiot had it in his center console during a routine traffic stop and that person fingered this guy as his supplier, which would trigger a month long investigation. Like some one said above that 500 worth of stuff was probably intended to be sold to someone else. Being from this area the cops actually do have better things to do so theres no way theyd bust some one for personal use. He just got extremely unlucky. (all of this is totally speculation)

Try us aussies, strictest customs, but the penalty is prob not as bad as US. Most of the time its just fines, that the convicted get. Also depending on your crim record.

Most of the time we don't get fined. Just a seizure letter. From my understanding...actually getting into trouble over an amount which is obviously intended for personal usage is VERY rare. Usually it is just taken.
