Gyno Or Body Fat build up? **Pictures**
Well im 20 years old and since i could remember ive always had puffy nipples / man boobs, i hear shit about it all the dam time. its quite embracing, i have to make sure my shirts are loose enough on the chest that they dont show the puffy nipples, now i work out regularly and id say im at about a 14 percent body fat ( havent checked since may) I am quite fed up with it now! i would just like to have a normal looking chest, what would be your suggestions on what could help. and if this is indeed gyno. I just dont know what to do any more.....

Dude keep working out and your chest looks fine man dont listen to other people they will always criticize you if they know it bothers you. Honeslty your last pick to me shows no puffiness or anything so relax and hit the gym and just Do You. Good Luck

The only time my chest seems to look normal is when im in the cold and i dont know why but my nipples sometimes hurt when they randomly get hard, ( sounds embarrassing) I havent had any leakage or feel any lumps, i hate these dam puffy nipples. The worst part of all this is im basically on my own. No help from my parents, no insurance, just another struggling college student, i have taken a cycle of havoc in January and took nolvadex after, i did get a couple of comments from my buddies when i was on it saying its starting to look normal but went back to this. i might just have to tough it out till i finish college and am able to get insurance

Only 1 photo looks remotely close to pubertal gyno but it's impossible to really say. Next time take photos with your arms elevated completely vertical perpendicular towards the ceiling.
As stated earlier, seek medical attention and look into plastic surgery to remove it if it truly is what you think it is.

Most states offer health insurance to qualified persons under 21 years of age, it appears Texas has one of these programs. If you qualify for coverage when you talk to a physician focus on the extreme pain that you suffer whenever you bounce your chest like going up and down stairs in school or your shirt rubs on your nipples etc. not the fact that you do not like the appearance ( elective treatment)
Here is a link that outlines how to apply for coverage,

IMO, you're just kinda fat. Try cutting down to 10% BF (so that you have visible abs) and see how it looks. Lowering your BF will also lower your estrogen levels, which is why your nipples look puffy.

mine look exactly like yours and i get bugged sometimes about it too. i think its because of a high bf% Ive nothiced that the leaner i get the less obvious it is. I know it sucks but its only temporary

I have gyno and when I'm cold it's almost impossible to see it but when it's not my nipples look hard. It's like the opposite of a normal person lol. They look a little puffy in a couple of the pics but if there's no knots then I don't see how it would be gyno. In my case you can clearly feel the knots and it hurts when I put pressure on them. If someone gave me a titty twister I think I would cry lol.

I think your underestimating your body fat % and agree with the others that you would better determine this after first leaning out.

Everyone holds BF in odd places, and I think it is important to cut as much before making that assessment. I will say, that when I was higher body fat I was a little nervous about this before I ever started a cycle. As I started to lower my body fat, I noticed that it became less and less of a problem. I saw a doctor as well and he said I have no symptoms or signs of the issue.

This looks like it is Pseudo Gyno. I have it too. You can get the tissue removed, besides that the only thing you can do is try to lean up as much as possible. As far as I know AI's and Anti-Estrogen's will not work.
When your nipples get hard it isn't as noticeable, correct? If so I have the same thing and it sucks.

This is bullshit Anit estrogens are known to work and there are countless studies to back it up. Look up tamoxifen and gyno on pubmed and learn something.

Hey Lmoye
I believe you have the same problem I had, it's called idiopathic gynecomastia . I had it since the age of 12 it started right around puberty and no matter what bf % I got to they never went away. So I went to a platic surgeon and as of last Thursday 11/11/2010 I had surgery, they removed both the glands and some fat, it cost $5300. I must say it's pretty painless and feels like I did a heavy chest routine, I will be back in the gym tomorrow too recovery is pretty quick, the only annoying this is having to wear a compression vest. Everybody is different though so I'm not saying surgery is your only option, but it's the only option I had. Also not having that issue anymore is a huge relief.

Sicilian Guy
Did your surgeon of rehab therapist say its O-K to hit the gym already? I have read a couple of posts by people who have had gyno surgery and they usually talk about a couple of months before any chest work.
As far as the $5300 I know that is what about what it costs but its really amazing that it is that expensive, what did it take an hour on the table...I hate healthcare costs.Last edited by Far from massive; 11-21-2010 at 04:38 PM.
