Antidepressants can cause an increase in suicidal thoughts the first 3-6 weeks. When you come off test. you may feel depressed.
The combination of the two could cause some serious depressive thoughts.
You may have been ok if you had already been on them before your cycle but i wouldn't mix the 2.

If your concerned about coming off and depression get some 5htp and supplement that for the remainder of your cycle and continue 2weeks+

In general AAS and Antidepressants (especially SSRI's) don't mix.

    Just curious what antidepressant?

Completly disagree, after all the research I have done what u have stated above is false. If anything it will help combat any depression and help keep u balanced.

So do you disagree that the first month or so starting an anti-depessant can cause increase suicidal thoughts?

What about that coming off steroids /test. can cause depression?

Im pretty sure both of the above are almost fact, so i dont see how the combination of both can be a good idea...

    Im no doctor though.

Like I said above if he had already stabilized on the Antidepressants before his cycle he might have been good, but he is going to be going through crazy hormone fluctuations, and antidepressants to the same.

I agree that first start anti d's can causr an increase in sucidal thoughts etc. I do not think it is a good idea to start one while on cycle but if u have already been on the anti d for awhile I see no in mixing the 2.

This sort of reminds me of a guy in the gym I talk to sometimes that had bad depression and was prescribed antidepressants when really he was depressed because of very low testosterone levels and ends up on TRT, was a young guy too, mid 20's.

Certain anti depressants can effect your mood on cycle more than others. It does depend on what you are being prescribed as certain meds offer certain treatment. If you have PTSD its different from Anxiety which is still different from Depression. All are very similar but they are combated in a different way with different types of medication. I have been on 5 cycles and the first 3 I was on SSRIs and had zero problems. Sometime during my 4th cycle my dr changed my meds that were working fine (the VA loves to mess with ppl imo) to Bupropion better known as WellButrin and I often felt I could barely control myself. I would feel myself swelling with such intense anger that I often scared myself. One day I completely snapped and broke a ton of stuff in my house for no real reason. I know for a fact it was attributed to the Wellbutrin because I had never felt this way before on ANYTHING I have ever taken. I stopped taking that crap after that and switched back to my former meds and everything was fine again.
You said you are already 10 weeks into your cycle so you already know how your mood is feeling and such. I would try the prescribed medication and closely monitor yourself. If you feel like you are loosing control or anything like that get your Doc to switch you to something different ASAP. Hope this helps.

What sucks is PH are often thought of and advertised as a safe alternative to AAS, so all to often the proper precautions arent taken.

basing what AD he needs based on how it will react on cycle sounds stupid.
I feel he shouldnt begin hes AD tell after PCT.

Besides the depression from AAS comes when he comes off them which will probably be in a couple weeks...

I did not factor into account him coming off in a matter of a couple of weeks, therefore I agree with waiting the two weeks. However i do not think it sounds stupid to see how an AD will react on cycle because at some point he will be on both.

I was 4 weeks into my deca cycle and I was hella depressed. Some days I didn't even want to get out of bed but had too for work and family. I decided to stop using it for now and finish out with the rest of test e. I usually do really well with any drug and deca was the first time I ever had any major sides.

Im saying changing the AD. He should be on the antidepressant that works for him off a cycle. Because he will of more then he will be on and changing antidepressants a bunch is bad. If it doesn't work for him on cycle then don't cycle... Thats just my priority's though, id say happiness is more important then muscles, although muscles can bring happiness...woah

You'll be ok imo, but why not ask the doc to be sure yourself.

I've been on mirtazapine for a few years now with no issues. Just look after yourself by watching your mood (if it crashes) and remind yourself it is the chemistry and not the darkness swallowing you up.

I have bipolar tendencies and the testosterone boost when I'm on cycle does nothing but level me out and make me feel great all the time. In my case, my cyclical mood swings are actually caused by hormone fluctuations and injecting testosterone completely negates the problem. Be careful when you're coming off though, be very on the ball with your post cycle therapy since the combination of low testosterone , high estrogen and a depressive personality together may not be fun.

Also, note that if this is your first cycle, Trenbolone might NOT be a good idea. While Trenbolone is a phenomenal compound and I use it all the time, be careful since it is one that I seen cause a lot of strange mood fluctuations.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but just wanna add something to this.

Just about 18 months ago, I started getting sweaty armpits and nothing would seem to help.... when I ran my first Test cycle, the sweating went away entirely for the duration of the cycle.... so maybe you won't need the anti p during the cycle

I've taken celexa (citalopram) while both on and off cycle never once had a problem with this combo. With that being said everyone reacts differently and as suggested above I would wait till you are off cycle to begin with the meds.
