    Shbg

    my doctor today told me SGBH has nothin to do with erections its just to do with like protein ....is he right?Ive looked all over the net but nothing seems to be clear. was just wondering Because mine came out low and my other testosterone result was fine so was just wondering

    low levels shbg is not a bad thing at all....quite the contrary.
    Do you mean your free test levels were low ? i dont quite understand. If that was the case shbg would be high.
    Can you clarify?

    shbg is glycoprotein it binds to hormones making them ineffective (readers digest version). The higher your shbg levels - the lower your free or "effective" test levels would be. So low shbg is not a bad thing.

    oh, so the lower the better lol :S? I was given 2 results, one was called serum testosterone or something cant quite remember and the other was shbg. just the shbg levels were low
