The use of Arimidex w/ low doses of Test Cyp
Was up late last night and again early this am reading TONS of posts. Strugling over some comments that using 1mg of Arimidex 3x/wk is too much and that it will limit gains.
This is week 2 of my journey and have a blood work scheduled right before my pinning on week 7. As you can see from the low dosage, I’m on HRT and barred from adding anything else other then what Dr. writes for. His theory was to add 1mg vs. 0.5mg for Ai to limit water retention. I understand that he is the Dr and although he understands what I’m looking for, legally he is there to treat low T. Me, on the other hand, would like to make the most of it with training. Some have suggested to withhold Arimidex and use it only if signs warrant it others has suggested to cut does in half. I know the principals of bulking and cutting but don’t have the chemical assistance at hand that others are allowed to and would like to limit water retention and of course gyno. Other posts have said that using Arimidex can actually raise test levels and IGF-1 nnumbers.
I’ve looked at several posts where guys detail their cycle menu and are at Test doses 3x the amount I am on and half the mg’s on Arimidex.
Just looking for opinions from ppl who have the same goals as in adding lean muscle.
Current age: 41
Current Weight: 215
BF: 11%
Training History: over 20yrs (little to no gains for the last 5yrs)
Blood work (initially)
TT @318ng/ml
Free 3.8
Meds are:
Test Cyp- 1.1cc (220mg) 1x/week
Arimidex (Anasrozole) 1mg 3x/week
Avodart 0.5mg ED
Lovasa 1GM 4caps/ED
Corvite Free 1 am/pm

why use adex, are you bloating or something?

Couldnt possibly be bloating on week 2 at this dose...lol I have no idea. I am just following dr's orders. He had done many rounds of AAS in his earlier years (up to 600mg/wk Test) and specializes in HRT so I am relying on his knowledge. His responsibility is to get my levels in range but I would also like to make the most gains off of it as well.

I wouldnt take 1mg for that,, .5mg if anything. Id fix the diet if your worried about water retention (ie salt intake)

Diet: about 2600cal I know its low but Dr said not to change diet until he sees how body reacts to meds
Meal 110egg whites
1cup oats
banana
Meal 21can tuna
1 cup whole wheat pasta
1 tsp olive oil mayo
Post w/o shake with powdered dextrose added
Meal 38oz chicken
1cup brown rice
1cup peas
Meal 4Opt nutrition protein shake
Meal 58ox chicken
1 yam
1 cup peas
Meal 61cup no salt low fat cottage cheese
2 tsp sugar free jelly

I even called the Dr's office today to make sure. I was told that this is the standard. At the end of week 6 blood work will be done and will adjust from there.
I do value all opinions but starting to get freaked out by the overwhelming number of comments of the amount of A-dex I'm taking.
So far, and probably mental, I've been killin at the gym. And this is just the start of week 2 (pinning on Sundays) and not sure if any effect will be felt. I generally feel more alert but as you know, looking for other benefits.

i have used adex in about half my cycles,, i see no diff as far as gains or workouts are concerned as opposed to when i dont use it. however i usually only do .5mg eod.
