Injection step missed.. bad?

I was reading over a sticky on injection tips.

I never did this one

Step 7
Remove the needle from the vial. With the needle pointing upwards, pull back on the plunger until all oil from the needle has been pulled back into the syringe. Unscrew needle from syringe and replace with a brand new, preferrably smaller needle. Replace needle guard.


I would just change the needle and throw the other 18g one out.. I now see that i was wasting oil that was left in the pin and i guess shooting a little air in my ass.

How much did i waste by doing this and is that little bit of air going to hurt?

if you did it 10 times, maybe lost .5-1 ml at most

it was 11 times to be exact.. Still a decent amount.. Oh well you live and learn.

the needle holds .1ml of oil so if you did it 11 times you lost 1.1ml of gear. if you are doing 1cc you lost an entire serving. I know that sucks. The air will not hurt you or cause problems.

It's all good. Think about this, using ampules and that there is ALWAYS a little test left at the bottom that you can not get, especially with an 18g needle... it's maddening...

Just use a little more common sense next time.
