    Covered in a rash. Could it be from Nolvadex? (PICS)

    I started to get this rash on my body around the time when I started Nolva PCT on Monday. I have done 5 weeks of Nolva before with no problems, actually from this same box.

    I saw the doctor two days ago and she thinks it is viral, and a result of my viral sinus infection spreading, but she didn't actually run any tests. Saw another doctor last night, he was not so sure about the sinus infection being the cause, so he took blood tests that I should be getting results from soon.

    These are two days old, it is worse now.

    they didnt give you any hydrocortisone cream?????????? and it seems really unlikely related to the nolva, seeing that you took it before from same pack with no problems. not being funny but have you gotten laid lately and used new condoms. if this started at the boys you could possibly have some type of latex allergy. just sayin

    Try taking some benadryl. And see how that works.

    Did you tell them you are on Nolvadex ? And simply do a search "nolvadex allergic reactions" on google and you will find these as the first two hits ( PS if you saw my first comment my apologies no time to be critical, I was just disapointed you had not already googled it.

    Site One,

    Allergic Reactions
    •Allergic reactions are also considered to be serious side effects of Nolvalex. In cases of allergic reaction, it is crucial to get emergency medical help as soon as possible. Some signs of allergic reaction to Nolvadex are swelling of the tongue, lips, mouth, or face, skin rash, chest tightness, breaking out into hives and difficulty with breathing.

    Site Two,

    Tamoxifen side effects
    Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to tamoxifen: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using tamoxifen and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

    sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body;

    sudden severe headache, confusion, problems with vision, speech, or balance;

    chest pain, sudden cough, wheezing, rapid breathing, fast heart rate;

    pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs;

    nausea, loss of appetite, increased thirst, muscle weakness, confusion, and feeling tired or restless;

    unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge;

    irregular menstrual periods;

    pain or pressure in your pelvic area;

    blurred vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights;

    easy bruising, unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum), purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin;fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms;

    new breast lump; or

    upper stomach pain, itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).

    Evidently this is not at all unheard of.

    yes but did you see he took them before from the same pack with no reaction. and in the desription you highlighted at the top thats pretty much the description of an anaphylactic reaction so its kinda routine. its not like it is specific to nolvadex , its with any drug rection where anaphylaxis could occur. seriously looks like a latex allergy to me.

    I have not been laid in years I first noticed it on the chest and wrists, then the upper arms. It actually just started on the boys today.

    I am always Googling, researching, searching forums, and reading. I have read a lot on Nolva and its sides in the past few days which is why I know it is a possibility.

    I have also found pictures of rare viral rashes people have gotten following a viral sinus infection that look similar to my rashes. The first doctor thought that is what happened since I have been fighting a sinus infection for quite awhile. So, I am still not sure what the exact reason for the rash is.

    The second doctor thought it did not look quite right to be viral rash stemming from a sinus infection. He believes it may be an allergic reaction to one of the meds I was taking before seeing any doctors (Sudafed, Ibuprofen, etc). All he said about the blood test results is that my white blood count is high, and that I should continue on my meds - Methylpredinosolone (for rash) and Amoxicillin (for sinus infection) from the first doctor --- Meloxicam (to replace Ibuprofen in case I was allergic to it) and Fexofenadine (to replace the sudafed).

    I did not tell either one that I was on Nolva, because I figured with the way the media villainizes steroids to such an extreme level, they would have not tested for other possibilities and just assumed that the Nolva is to blame. I could go back and tell them now, but they would probably just tell me to stop the Nolva. They probably do not read up on PCT and realize it is necessary to block the estrogen, raise the test, and prevent severe conditions such as gyno.

    I ordered some Clomi from that ARR site on here, so that I can switch over to that in case the Nolva is the culprit. Unfortunately, it will be several days until it gets here.

    So I don't know what else to do. Keep doing the Nolva until I can switch to the Clomi when it arrives? Stop the Nolva until the Clomi arrives and risk my balls, even though I don't know if it is the culprit for fact?

    I only did an 8 week cycle of the Prohormone Bold. I would run to a store and buy Reversitol to have it right away, but I don't know of any stores that carry it. I know a Serm is better, but I would switch to something like Reversitol to see if the rash goes away. Is there something similar to Reversitol I could pick up at a store?

    I have read on a thread here that reversitol is not very good, I have no idea myself though. As far as anything OTC that works half ass for PCT if it was available I think we would have seen threads about it? But that's only speculation.

    I hear you on the telling the doctor thing, I was just curious if you had...anytime you tell them about anything self prescribed you are generally viewed as something between a child molester and a snake. I would never tell a doc who had my real name anything like that since it becomes part of your medical records and can affect you in so many ways. In a case like this I might contact an allergist and see if they could/would do a simple skin prick allergy test with the nolva to see if it was responsible. If they could it might be worth doing one, since if they did one and you broke out locally in the same hives you would know (One thing that sux is now that its basically everywhere, it would be kinda hard to do anyway).

    ( if it were me I might just read up on doing skin prick test and do one myself, but I am kind of an idiot on that sort of thing so you might not want to yourself )

    And of course it could be a reaction to the combination of the sinus infection and/or its medication that is making the Nolva now cause the problem???

    As far as what you do with all these possible causes..hell I got no idea..Sorry wish I did. I guess depending on how far you are into pct and how long delivery of Torem or Clomid you gotta wiegh the risks and take a guess.

    Best luck,

    FFM
