Endo prescribes 150 mg for every 3 weeks!?
I'm happy that I got my endo to prescribe treatment of test cyp. But it is 150 mg every 3 weeks? How long til I crash and how hard will it be?

Ugh, that is going to leave you in a bad place. Even if you break that into weekly injections you will only be at 50mg/week. There are people that are happy at 100mg/week, but I don't know anyone on 50mg. Is this temporary until you do a new round of blood work to see the results, or did he make it seam like this was your protocol forever? Others have more knowledge about how long before you crash, etc.

Well he seems to think test isn't the problem because im in "range" but he is willing to give it a try. I hope he will bump it up although it is hard to tell. I just hope I respond well initially.

Find a new doc who will give you 100mg/week.

Damn, that almost seems to me like it would be more detrimental than beneficial. But then again, I am no professional. Curious to see what some of the vets think about this.

Is 150 mg enough to make me feel good for the first week and couple days?

Your 19 years old so you're at the prime of your Test production. Your body should be producing about 46mg of Test per week. If your Test production has shut down you're getting back to normal at 50mg/wk injection. What does it mean to be in the normal range? The normal range is huge. You should be at the top 1/3 of your age range to be feeling good. Just go 50mg/wk and see how you feel.

Do you and your endo realize this is a life long commitment? At 19 unless you were very low ( and even then every possible cause should be examined before supplementation) TRT is never prescribed. My suggestion would be to not even take the shit until you have seen another endo who is not peering through a belly button window since this man clearly has his head up his ass. A good endo would be searching for all the possible causes of a lower than normal test production before supplementation, much less supplementation with a quantity that will shut down your natural production and leave you with less than a normal level once shut down occurs.
At 19 you really want to explore all options before beggining a life long commitment to Testosterone supplementation.

My totel test was 411 ng/dl, my free was 1.12 ng/dl , my tsh was also high but I was prescribed synthroid for that, it has not made me feel any better. I understand that it is a life long commitment, but at this point I've felt the same way for 2 years and it is not the way i want to live. I feel awful all the time, no sex drive etc. My cholesterol was even very bad, total chol- 258, ldl- 195, and hdl- 55. I exercise 4 dayss a week and eat only natural and organic, yet there are so many health problems, it just confuses me.

Normal testicular production is roughly 35-70mg of actual test per week.
Factor in the cypionate ester he's using and that is about 50-100mg. So even 50mg/week of cyp would be the bare minimum. Why bother with HRT if you're still going to be on the low side?

If this dude is really 19, then I'm thinking we should back off and let him hash it out with his endo....
unless he has had trauma or illness, it seems highly improbable he needs TRT
