This is just... Wow. From what you have told us regarding your Dr.s response I don't agree and would look elsewhere for treatment. Its really pretty silly that his plan is to stick you a few weeks/months and hope to "jumpstart" your own test production. Thats not how it works. As others already stated TRT is for life... Really not a bad option if its the correct treatment needed.

    Update

    **UPDATE**

I stayed with my last doctor for a few weeks after my initial post. I started having symptoms and they just blew my off. I changed docs and we dicussed the depo testosterone and he suggested androgel to make it easier on me as far as having to come in every two weeks. I also got an appt through him with an endocrinologist set for 9-7-11. I immediately could feel that i was dragging and the androgel just wasnt working. The dose was way less than the depo that I was originally taking. I remained on it for two weeks and my work schedule changed and I was home more during the day time hours and didnt want to risk my 5 year old or two month old growing a mustache, so I was finally able to get back to the Depo as of last Friday. I had my levels tested again on Friday which was the six week mark that I have been on this stuff. It dropped from the initial test and went down to 211, WTF? I feel better being on the depo, I cleaned up my diet big time and currently on the Paleo diet. I have more energy, dropped 15 pounds, starting to see changes, clothes arent fitting (too big!) But the fact that the level dropped has me worried. What can I do to increase my levels naturally? Any supplements out there that would benefit or should I just wait for the endo?

I have swelling in my ankles quite often. I see from the manufacturers of depo, that it could be a side effect and to contact your doc if its extreme. Its not extreme it only makes my look like a weirdo and it can be uncomfortable, so I wear jeans in the summer so I'm not stared at. My original doc said it had nothing to do with the depo. Anyone have issues like this?

    Thanks!

You need weekly shots. Simple as that.

Some of these doctors I dont understand their dosing theories at all. Often too much or too little...spaced to many days apart.
