Drug test for steroids
I have a cousin who is a firefighter. They are switching insurance companies and the new one is doing random drug test via blood. He is currently on test/winny. What are the chances the insurance company would test for gear? Is the only way to detect is to check hormone levels? Seems like they would be more concerned about other drugs muchless steroids . We live in the states.

I know that there was a whole fire dept that was tested for steroids in NY or NJ a few years back. But typically most employers just check for narcotics and such, not aas.

I suspect they will not test for steroids . Just the typical drugs. Just wanted to post the question to give him a little reassurance. Thanks for the quick response.

My uncle, and two cousins are firefighters. They take random blood tests but only for rec drugs. As a matter of fact, I think the guys in his fire house help each other with shots. The like knowing that the fire fighter next to him can pick up a 200lb fallen victim and run out of a burning building.
