    Deca

Hey guys I'm having some major problems with my elbows. Seen the Doc briefly, he told me to try using elbow braces while working out, before starting to run all the tests X-rays, MRI's. Has anyone ever tried using elbow braces, did it work. Also wondering if a small amount of Deca would help, I'm on TRT so this won't be a problem with test shut down. I tried resting for 2 weeks pain went away but came right back when I got back in the gym. I think it's a little weird that both elbows hurt. Any advice would be helpful. Thank

what kind of pain is it? tendonitis like pain? arthritis like pain?

Deca would help increase synovial fluid in the joints and being on TRT wouldnt be a bad idea. If its tendonitis, deca wont do anything, you would be better off looking into IGF-1

It may help, some people have had a lot of luck using deca for joint pain.

The pain started on the outside of the elbows, now the pain has expanded to the inside of the right elbow, still just the outside of left. Pain is getting worse. I really can't do any bicep workout at all right now. What is IGF-1?

did you visit a physiotherapist yet?

honestly, I put little faith in GP doctors over matters such as this.

i used a combination of heat and cold and no gym for a month. started very light when i went back. 2 summers ago. it was the worst. but the combination of heat for an hour, cold for an hour and alot of icy hot is what fixed it for me.

Thanks M....I hate leaving the gym but I think no matter what approach I take to fix this issue is going to involve no gym....this sucks!!!!!

I've had the same thing recently. Where I live the Doctors are fools and everyone else is a holistic hippie-type healer. Finally got a real Physio therapist and 10 days later I'm 98%. The good ones will tell you, elbows are easy, shoulders are harder. I had both problems. It has to do with stretching the muscles surrounding the joint in order to take pressure off it.

I've had a similar problem in my right elbow. Right where the elbow cap plugs in to the forearm. Is that where yours is bothering you? I found relief by letting it rest.

Does the pain hit when you curl the weight and is okay when you lower the weight? If so you may have tendinosis which is similar to tendonitis but more chronic. The way to cure it is to do eccentric movements with weights. This will help destroy the capillaries that have built up around the injury and thus reduce the pain signals to the brain. This works because the pain is what is stopping the injury from healing. Take away this and it can be left alone to heal.

Improvements can be made in a couple weeks of doing this 3x a week.

That is if eccentric movements are relatively pain free..

Deca works great for me, my joints feel great almost no pain at all. I dose at 220mg per week and drink a lot of fluid.

I've had the same problem for over a year now. Tried resting a week, layoff altogether for 3 months, meds, etc and everytime I came back it would start hurting again, so I bought a neoprene sleeve that pressurizes the elbow joint and keeps it hot during my training session and that has helped me a lot although I cannot do certain tricep or bicep movements anymore I can do compound movements and its been so long now that I've adjusted to it. I'm on deca now 300mg/week and recently tried some different exercises that I had trouble with before and the same thing, hurt like hell, so deca really hasn't eased it that much for me. Hope this helps some. Good luck with it.
