There is no proof that fasted cardio is superior to cardio done when food has been ingested in trained individuals.

From what I know and understand, it can cause further reductions in LBM, as opposed to cardio done when not fasted.
im going by personal experience and by training ppl professionally. i have my gfriend on fasted cardio and a weights programme atm and she is stabilising weight whilst losing a load of bf, therefore she isnt losing muscle weight. muscle will not let go quite as easily as ppl think, at least not in my experiences.

I will express my opinion on subjects that i think i have knowledge of,and if certain people think im talking crap that's there prerogative.
no one not even the top scientist are 100% for certain what is the right or wrong way to do cardio, for every 100 that say this is the way, there's another 100 saying the opposite. For me i do what i was taught at college and what has been successful for myself and my clients.
then why co-sign an article that suggests that is the case?. you will have enough glycogen stored in muscle for the body to be able to do fasted cardios without losing muscle. your body would be in dire straits before it starts cannibalising muscle. i have experienced faster response in losing bf by doing cardio fasted 1st thing

you've quoted Lyle McDonald afew times, here is what he says on the matter:

For the lean trying to get very lean (15% body fat or less for men, 22% or less for women), various strategies, including fasted cardio are probably going to be required to offset the mobization and blood flow defects. That’s why that specific group found decades ago that fasted morning cardio worked best. And why I wrote The Stubborn Fat Solution since it deals with how to overcome all of the problems
