Cloudy Decca???
Got out my Decca tonight & it was cloudy. I ran it under warm water last injection & it was still clear/translucent. Tonight it was cloudy with what appeared to be a little sediment at the bottom of the vial. I am guessing it is out of suspension. Is it just garbage now, or is there any way it is still salvageable?

Heating it will probably remove the sediment, however cloudy is often water migration into the vial. You did not use a "vent pin" when you heated it did you? As this is a very good way to introduce unsterile moisture into the vial, I really hate the threads where people advocate vent pins, nothing in aas will come close to boiling at the temps required for heating for injection. So as long as there is space above the liquid its fine to heat the aas even in water that is starting to boil.
Anyway as many threads have said, the cloudiness will usually not cause any problems. But let me add, no problems other than those related to sterility...as if thats a big comfort LOL.
Seriously though, although the condensation is not good (assuming thats what it is) from a sterility standpoint, many have used cloudy AAS with no problems.Last edited by Far from massive; 01-15-2012 at 08:41 PM.

No, I didn't use a vent pin...the only thing I can think of was i did have some test propionate from the syringe I was using that may have gotten in the vial. Would the BA from the test cause this? Thanks for the knowledge. I'll keep on keepin' on with this vial of Decca.
